In 1995, I traveled to Berkeley, California, and was honored to present a very brief, under 20 minutes, speed -read essay that I had written that really still reflects a lot of my thoughts about the UFO phenomena and its import, and it’s representing probable possible contact with some non -human consciousness or intelligence. how it’s fraught with a lot of other issues and challenges. But I have posted that there through Patreon, but also through our YouTube channel and through the website and including a weird audio video mashup of my audio from my lecture with some music, including music by Kruder and Dorfmeister, Tortoise and others. You can watch that video by going to the links or listening. to the original audio version or the enhanced audio version in MP3 format. So many ways to listen or watch depending upon your particular cares or style or interest. Also, there’s this classic photo here of my good friends, the excluded middlers, two of the three founders of that magazine, Robert Larson and Greg Bishop of us sitting in front of the Golden Gate Bridge there in San Francisco. They were nice enough to travel for hours from their part of California to San Francisco to see my lecture and to then show me around San Francisco. It was a great time. So many, many, many years ago. Love those guys. And it’s a real flashback to see this picture. And then also, you can also literally read the exact text of that essay that I presented at the Society for Anthropology of Consciousness conference there in Berkeley. And that was titled Encounters with the Fantastic, the Transformative UFO Paradigm. It’s got an abstract and the official essay as written. Very few ad libs in the audio version, though I was so nervous. If you listen to any of the audio, you’ll hear how nervous I was. And I just sped Reddit because I wanted to make sure I got it all in under the 20 minute mark. Got at least one good laugh from the audience. certain points but anyway yeah also stuff that we’ve released through patreon and it’s also available if you dig around and i’ll put the link in the show notes to the anomaly archives web page rare video of whitley streber at the texas book festival in november of the year 2000 i may have mentioned this before on the show but i don’t believe it’s available anywhere online except through us we released this And including an enhanced audio version of the video and the original raw audio of the video through YouTube and through our Patreon and the AnomalyArchives .org website. You can go there. But it was all released on June 13th, which happened to be Whitley Strieber’s 80th birthday. And I think you should check that out.
think you should check that out. Actually, will this play? It was in December, late December of 1985. I had… a rather strange experience, a close encounter. And it seemed entirely real at the time it happened. And it was very confusing because it was not something that was supposed to be possible. And it destroyed my whole paradigm. My whole model of the world was thrown into confusion because suddenly something had occurred that could not happen. And yet it had.
So, yeah, you can. And if you anyway, it’s all available for free. It’s very interesting footage for a number of reasons, but just go watch it and find out or listen to the audio and find out. All right. Well, jumping right into some news, let’s get some short topical areas out of the way up front. Cryptozoology, my good friend and past co -host of this show, Mark Jackson, former board member and advisory board member. sent me a link to Todd Gatewood’s YouTube channel video, season one, episode 12, the Patterson -Gimlin film, never before seen footage of restoration and frame analysis. Now, I’ve seen a number of restoration attempts for this footage. A lot of it, some of it recently done by using AI to various effects. Anyway, this is about a 20 minute video and it does give you an opportunity to see his approach to this. And I think he’s doing some pretty good work and it’s worth your time. Considering what he’s got to work with in terms of the quality of the original footage, I think you’ll see that it’s good that there’s people working on this. Preservation is really important in film. Like so many other physical media do degrade over time. And this is a real issue, obviously. Meanwhile, also in the cryptozoological realm is… Recent appearances by our good friend Chester Moore Jr., who is an East Texan outdoorsman and journalist and investigator. Rob Riggs and I went on an investigation with him into the East Texas wilderness looking for evidence of Bigfoot encounters. And we’ve talked about that before, but over on the CFZ, CFZ On The Track YouTube channel. are two recent episodes of our good friend chester talking to host jonathan downs jonathan downs of course is somebody else that we’ve featured as a speaker here in in austin texas for the anomaly archives and that audio is available through the patreon as well but yeah on the track episodes number 342 rediscovering the red wolf and more featuring chester moore jr as well as on the track Number 343, cloning, coyotes, and speciation, plus lots more, featuring Chester Moore Jr. Fun interviews. John Downs is a, as Nick Redfern called him, the, oh gosh, the fear and loathing author. Gosh, now I’m drawing a blank. Gonzo. He’s a gonzo kind of guy. But he’s a true Fortean and a true cryptozoologist, and thus CFZ. Crypto Fortean Zoology. Anyway, check out those videos, those interviews. Chester’s doing great work, and I think you’ll enjoy that interesting discussion across the pond, as they say. Moving right along, yes. Oh, so like I mentioned, over at Patreon, we do have our December 2024 lecture was an enhanced audio version of… Jonathan Downs’ presentation to the Anomaly Archives audience back in 2010. He was in Texas. And in fact, in that interview with Chester Moore, he refers to that the day he met and spent with Chester Moore as one of the best days of his life in terms of his experience in doing cryptozoology research. And I have no doubt he means that from the bottom of his heart. Jonathan Downs had a great time here in Austin, here in the States. He was visiting with his wife. who has unfortunately since passed, but he was helped be brought here by our good friends, Richie and Naomi West. Anyway, the audio of that is also available through our Patreon for certain levels of membership and eventually will be made public. Now, I’m categorizing this next series of story references under cryptozoology, but it really doesn’t belong there. It’s one of those, it’s 14, it’s not… I’m not sure where to put it, but I’m putting it here. So over a website called Isle of Weird, that’s W -E -I -R -E -D, isleofweird .com, is this article by someone named Shane, Smells Like Gardenias, in their subject category of Phantom Attackers. This is from June of last month, 2025. And it talks about this recurring… type of wave of strange entity attacks or weird behavior by seemingly normal humans that often involves gas attacks. The article starts, quote, then his pale countenance is seen gazing into ground floor windows and his gaunt form is to be dimly discerned in the gloomiest corners. This is from the Weekly Freeman, September 8th, 1917. The article begins, In early September 1917, a spectral figure was prowling the streets of Mullingar in County Westmeath. Tall and thin and dressed in gray, it only ever appeared after darkness had fallen and it amused itself by peering through people’s windows. So it’s a peeping tom. Some in the town believe the spooky peerer was a German soldier escaped from a nearby internment camp. Others believed it was a, quote, wandering lunatic. And many believed it was a ghost. Whatever it was, it was reportedly giving the people of Mullingar the shivers. But after appearing nightly in the town for about 10 days, the spectral figure just disappeared. Then, at about midnight on 20 September 1917, a Mr. Miller, who lives in a cottage on Fairgreen in Mullingar, was woken by a noise. When he got up to investigate, he found a man in the next room. The man, wearing a soldier’s khaki, trousers, stockings, and shirt, was brandishing a knife. Miller immediately tackled him in an attempt to disarm him, and a fierce struggle ensued. During the struggle, Miller claims the intruder attempted to use chloroform or a similar substance on him. He said it had a pungent odor and a somewhat stifling effect. Fortunately, the fierce struggle woke Ms. Miller, who ran outside and shouted for help. Now, the article goes on. It’s quite detailed. It goes on to a number of different examples of this that recurred through different periods of time. It basically immediately reminded me of something I was aware of. I wasn’t really as familiar with all the… the historic cases of this, but jump to 1944 and they reference the same article. Just after 11 p .m. on Friday, September 1st, 1944, Ms. Aline Kearney went to bed in her Marshall Avenue home in Mattoon, Illinois. Her three -year -old daughter, Dorothy Ellen, was already asleep in the same bedroom. Shortly after falling asleep, Aline was woken by a sickening sweet odor. At first, she thought it was coming from the flowers outside her bedroom window. However, the odor grew stronger, and I began to feel a paralysis of my legs and lower body, she recalled later. Ms. Kearney screamed out for her sister, Martha, who had been staying with her. She came immediately and was struck by the smell as she entered the room. Martha ran to the neighbors, the Robertsons, for help, and while Ms. Robertson called the police, her husband ran to the Kearney house to look for an intruder. However, Mr. Robertson found no evidence of an intruder, and neither did the police when they eventually arrived. Yes, this is what it reminded me of. The Mad Gasser of Mattoon, Illinois. This is one of those weird waves of stranger attacks, gas attackers, that reminded me of things I’d read about before. The article goes on quite a ways, and I believe most of it is citing the research of somebody who has recently written on the Havana Syndrome. in the context of what they believe is mass delusion and media manipulation. In fact, the article ends with a reference to the book Panic Attacks, Media Manipulation and Mass Delusions by Robert E. Bartholomew and Hillary Evans.
And references in the concluding paragraph. In 1835, thanks to a series of articles in New York’s… Yeah, this… New York Sun… People around the world, including eminent scientists, came to believe that the moon was populated with beaver people and Batman. This and a number of other hoaxes and scares, including the Mad Gasser of Mattoon, Illinois, are dismantled and panic media manipulation and mass solution. Now, what this, of course, reminded me of flashback to 2007 and boingboing .net was promoting a recent article then by.
recent article then by. Jonathan Downs, who we just mentioned, who had written an article about the Madgasser case in the 14th Times, which the link now is dead unless you go through the archive .org wayback machine, which it’s still there. You can find it, or at least most of it, I believe. But yes, over at boingboing .net, they reminded their readers. Quote, in 1944, the small town of Mattoon, Illinois, was terrorized by a creepy black clad prowler who sprayed anesthetic gas in his victims’ faces, or maybe not. Where reality ended and myth began in the Mad Gasser mystery has been open for debate since the media first broke the quote -unquote news. Indeed, psychologists have studied the phenomena as a case study in mass hysteria. Lauren Coleman analyzed the story and the story behind the story in his classic book, Mysterious America. suggesting that there may have been several real attacks and that hysteria may not be entirely to blame for the reports. In Fortean Times, cryptozoologist Jonathan Downs investigates further, and then they excerpt from that article a couple of paragraphs and give the link to that now dead Fortean Times article, which, again, can be found through the Wayback Machine. Check it out. All right, moving right along. I did want to report on some very sad news, and that is of our good friend,
good friend, well, my acquaintance,
and somebody who I always found very interesting, and that was Ray Stanford. Ray Stanford is a very significant figure, I think, in the UFO field, but yes, he recently passed away. We got word a couple of weeks ago and there’s been a few noteworthy reports,
obituaries put out. I haven’t seen an official one yet, but Kevin Randall over at his blog, A Different Perspective, writes about Ray. Most of the writing that’s been put out there does, of course, mention the fact that Ray was a rather contentious figure and controversial for a variety of reasons. But not least of which is because he could get really agitated and take offense at people not believing everything he said.
Another really good backgrounder and obituary of sorts is by good friend Red Pill Junkie, RPJ Miguel Romero. Over at dailygrail .com, Vale Ray Stanford, yes, his full name is Vale Ray Stanford, born in 1938, passed this year, 2025. So long to one of the last members of the old UFO contactee scene. This is a really good explication of Stanford’s and his brother Rex, Ray and Rex Stanford, their amazing journey through the ufological field. In its earliest days, in the contactee days, they met and befriended and lost the enemy, fell out of sorts with a variety of people, not least of which was George Stamsky, as well as George Hunt Williamson, all the Georges. And as I’ve mentioned in talks where I’ve discussed Ray Stanford’s work, one of his earliest UFO sightings and encounters that happened in Corpus Christi, Texas. was chronicled in this cover story in Fate Magazine’s May 1956 issue with the headline, Texas Saucer Contact, Police Affidavits! It’s a wild story, as is every aspect of Ray’s life. For those that don’t know, Ray Stanford led two different organizations here in Austin, Texas. One called AUM, the Association for the Understanding of Man. It was less scientific, more spiritually oriented. And it was basically a channeling cult of sorts. Ray would channel various beings. Some have claimed that he later disavowed those channelings. But at the same time, he was operating an attempt at what I would describe as one of the most scientific civilian science attempts at. investigating UFOs that has ever existed. And I really, it is being recreated now, has been for the last several years in various forms by Chris O ‘Brien, who was really good friends with Race Transfer, but who has also passed with his UFO DAP, DAP project, as well as of course the, gosh, now, man, my brain is not working. There’s several projects though out there that, including, I think it’s the one at Harvard. and others where they are using advanced camera technology to try to scan the skies for UFOs. Well, Stanford, Ray Stanford was trying that here in Austin, outside of town, west of town near the lake, where they had a variety of instrumentation, electromagnetic detectors, radar, lasers, all kinds of things, and an advanced telephone tree. connected to computers to try to if they could triangulate a perceived ufo to notify people in the area via phone to go and try to record data on it just fascinating stuff but again rpj’s article over at dailygrail .com does a great job of really synopsizing the vast historical record of of ray stanford one of the things one of his claims to fame was his having more UFO photographs perhaps than any other UFO researcher. And this, he claimed to be psychic, thus the channeling. And it seemed as if he had this knack, this intuition, this second, sixth sense, whatever you want to call it, of when UFOs were nearby and would go out and record them with his, both his still photo camera. photographs, as well as moving film camera footage, some of which has been witnessed by other people. And that was the thing. He never would release it. And now the big question, of course, is what’s going to happen to those collections? Now, in about the year 2000, I was blessed with the opportunity to spend about eight plus hours with him one day in his central Texas home. And I don’t recall really seeing any of his footage. I don’t think he set up the film projector for me, but he certainly regaled me with a lot of the stories that are recounted in RPJ’s Daily Grail article. But of course, you can also go to anomalyarchives .org and we have a page for Ray Stanford where you can find links to those obituaries, those articles, as well as some of the harsh critique information done by Douglas Dean Johnson. what he has termed the Ray Stanford UFO alien legacy. Douglas Dean Johnson apparently did interact with Ray and PSI Project Starlight International here in Austin back in the 70s for perhaps about a year, I think, or a couple of years and became very disillusioned with him and has since gone on to write this very harsh critique, attempted a takedown of Ray’s claims. This has started several years ago and has been ongoing, but obviously is getting fresh eyes with Ray’s passing. But there’s some other links there to a great playlist of Jeffrey Mishlove interviews with Ray. It basically serves as kind of an oral history on the part of Jeffrey Mishlove and his New Thinking Allowed series, as well as a bunch of photographs and images that we have related to the archives that we have on Ray. Anyway, safe travels and… you will be remembered. Now, for the last several episodes, we’ve reminded people that there is, in fact, a playlist created by the Rice University Humanities Department of all the videos from this year’s 2025 AOTI Archives of the Impossible conference, the UFO and the Impossible. However, despite them being made aware multiple times, that those videos independently, individually, and collectively as the playlist that they created are all quote unquote unlisted. That’s YouTube’s way of basically creating security through obscurity. You can’t search for these videos and find them through YouTube. You have to have a direct link to it. Well, as I’ve said, we’ve had a direct link to the playlist and to the videos through our own webpage over at anomalyarchives .org. in a separate page for the 2025 archive. They have still not made these publicly available. And we’ve gone ahead and created our own anomaly archives playlist, which hopefully will make these videos all that much easier for the public to find and view. I’ve also embedded links to each individual video in this page. as you can see here, so that, again, it’s just more easily available. This should now start helping these videos get indexed by search engines as they should be because these are important presentations, some of the most important presentations I’ve seen at a UFO event in ages.
But rest assured, I’ve been told that even though it’s as simple as flipping a switch, clicking a button on the playlist, and each video to make it public instead of unlisted. That will be done eventually, even though it hasn’t been done yet.
Meanwhile, there was some press via the Rice University webpage over at news .rice .edu. Rice’s Archives of the Impossible offer insight and expertise for World UFO Day. This came out on June 18th. And there’s a video that I think we already linked to before called Exploring the Unexplained, a new chapter in the Archives of the Impossible that was released before the event, I believe. But it’s, you know, it’s a promotional, it’s basically a press release on the part of the university trying to get more traction and promotion of this wonderful institution’s efforts in archiving and preserving and educating the public about these materials. Moving right along, there are some other interesting events coming up. There is this big event, the 2025 Skyfire Summit. This video available over at somebody’s YouTube channel. This is being put on by, I guess, Sedona MUFON. It’s got a wide range of participants. including Travis Walton and Melinda Leslie and David Hatcher Childress. So anyway, if you’re in the area and interested, you might want to check that out. This is coming up in October, I believe. So we’ve got the link to the promotional video, which has probably got links to all the information elsewhere.
Other events coming up that you should be aware of, especially if you’re in Texas, I guess this is going to be the… This is the fourth annual. Yeah, I think it’s going to be the fourth annual Texas UFO conference. I was honored to be a speaker at the inaugural one in 2022. And this year is again, again, happening in Jefferson, Texas, Bigfoot capital of Texas. Good friend, Craig Woolheater is organizing this event there and it’s getting some press through this informational article at KKYR .com. I think that’s for the radio station kicker 102 .5. So yeah, Jim Weaver there reports on full disclosure, get the latest info at the 2025 Texas UFO con in Jefferson. And it gives a rundown on the presenters, including Mindy Toutfest, Lillian Jimenez, Mitchell Whittington, Martha Hazard Decker, and a good friend, Daniel Allen Jones. Daniel will yet again, I believe, be emceeing this event. He is the master of ceremonies for so many Bigfoot cryptozoology -oriented conferences, UFO events, and paranormal festivals and events around Texas and surrounding states. Daniel is great, and I’m so glad that he makes his way around. But yeah, you can find out information about each of the presenters in their topic area there at this. Kicker 102 .5, it’s KKYR .com, and we’ll have, of course, the links to this and everything else I’ve been talking about in the show notes for this episode. And lastly, in terms of upcoming events, actually, this one’s already passed, and this is the video now. Oh, it’s not showing it to you. Humanity Rising Network presents the European UAPNIHI Disclosure Summit of 2025. This happened… some time ago, and there is a website for this event. But the video is now up, and it’s about 2 hours and 40 minutes long, featuring several different speakers that you’ll probably want to check out. And the official webpage is ubiquityuniversity .org, where they have a subpage for this European UAP NHI Disclosure Summit. And they have a link there that, if you click on, will take you to that video. That is the presentations.
OK, I need to take a quick breather and we’ll be right back, I think.
OK, welcome back, everybody. So, yeah, gosh, so much still to get through. You know, in our previous episodes, we reported on the big news in ufology, of course, was the Wall Street Journal’s article on UFO disinfo, how the Pentagon has been creating the modern UFO myth, as they said, seeding both the public and their own military and intelligence officials with disinformation promoting this idea of crash saucers, pickled aliens, government cover -ups, reverse engineering of alien craft, and that whole shebang. All the things that, of course, we tend to focus on mainly because we know it’s popular and people are interested. That’s what I grew up believing until I finally was like, you know what? No, I don’t think that’s what’s going on. It’s still, I still think it’s possible. But I think as Valet has said over and over again, I’ll be very disappointed if UFOs turn out to simply be extraterrestrials in spacecraft, nuts and bolts craft. It seems like there’s something much more interesting going on. But it is absolutely provable that there is a variety of disinformation campaigns being waged by various humans individually, collectively, as institutions, governments, militaries, intelligence agencies, corporations, mafias, who knows? Cults. This has all been talked about since at least 1979 by people like Jacques Vallée. Well, we’ll get all of that. But so part two of the Wall Street Journal’s big reveal came out on June 21st called, and the title is, Was It Scrap Metal or an Alien Spacecraft? The Army Asked an Elite Defense Lab to Investigate. Subtitled, Pentagon True Believers Explored the Fringes of Science from Psychic Spies to Teleportation to Antigravity Material. Again, this is the same authors. Joel Sheckman and Aruna Viswanatha from the Wall Street Journal. Okay, we’re not going to go as deeply into this as we did in the previous part one episode. But we do have a lot of links to this and the follow -up from various other people that you can find over at the anomalyarchives .org website. But yeah, so… A lot of interesting bits in here, but really what it mainly focuses on is what has been called arts parts. And the story goes all the way back to 1996 when late night radio host Art Bell received some material from a listener who alleged that it was material recovered from a crashed UFO in 1947, probably the Roswell thing. sparked all kinds of discussion about the idea of metamaterials. Of course, the attributes of the debris as described by the witnesses at the time back in 1947 and their friends and family and children who heard those stories, some of them may have actually seen this material as well, have spawned these rumors for a long, long time. Now,
Just some brief bits from the article talking about the arts parts and their lack of provenance, lack of a proper custody trail. Quote, more than a decade later, two scientists who had worked with the Pentagon helped run a research program examining the possibilities of alien technology and explored metamaterials, a type of synthetic substance. The program published research speculating that metamaterials could bestow aircraft with exotic powers such as invisibility. Could the Bell sample be proof of the concept? A group founded by Tom DeLonge, a frontman for the pop -punk band Blink -182 thought so, the group called To the Stars bought the pieces of metal from a UFO researcher in 2019 for $35 ,000 to test that possibility. And where does that link go? That link goes back to the To the Stars Academy circa that period of time. By then, to the stars, it assembled a collection of heavyweights, including the two scientists and a former official, a former Pentagon official. The formal official, Luis Elizondo, joined after quitting the Defense Department and going public with the claim that he had helped run a government UFO program. Oh, I’m sorry. I do not have this up on screen. There we go.
Continuing this Wall Street Journal article. Yeah, so they’re talking about Lou Elizondo and to the stars buying this material back in 2019 to test it. The article goes on. One of the scientists, Hal Puthoff, became vice president for the group. The other, Eric Davis, who also became an advisor to the group, told the New York Times in 2020 that testing of the sample had revealed it was not of this earth. Quote, we couldn’t make it ourselves, he told the Times. To the stars made the case to the Army that replicating this material could unlock futuristic weapons systems. The Army soon signed an agreement to test the metal for potential anti -gravity and cloaking properties. Space lasers. It’s funny that they should say that. Of course, that’s conjuring Marjorie Taylor Greene’s crazy statements about Jewish space lasers, but we’ll get to some other connections there. Article goes on. It turned out Davis, an astrophysicist, was a source. Of many of Kirkpatrick’s witness accounts, Davis was a storied character in UFO lore and spent more than 20 years investigating ideas for the military most would consider unfathomable, including teleportation anti -gravity devices and the possibility of interstellar space travel using wormholes. Yeah, so Davis worked for Hal Puthoff here in Austin for a long time and still may do so, but he also, they both and others, including Jacques Ville and others, worked for… billionaire Bob Bigelow as part of the program that was funded by this quote unquote secret UFO Pentagon program created by Senator Harry Reid that we now call OSAP or ATIP.
Bob Bigelow as part of the program that was funded by this quote unquote secret UFO Pentagon program created by Senator Harry Reid that we now call OSAP or ATIP. Only it was under the auspice of Bigelow’s B -A -A -S -S. Bigelow Advanced Aerospace Science, whatever, blah, blah, blah. All of which we have pages. for over at the Anomaly Archives that can get you all kinds of information and background on all this. All this is to say, basically, they came away saying that there was nothing special to this material. And this is not new. I mean, you know, we’ve talked about this before. I’ve mentioned this on this show previous times. Just about a year ago, Micah Hanks, with his podcast, did an episode July 17th, 2024, called The Roswell Material, Oak Ridge and Arrow Analyze Arts Parts. So again, this is not news. The Wall Street Journal is promoting this as some grand revelation. But as it happens so often, they got some people who have seemingly no background or knowledge of the UFO field. And to them, sure, it’s all new and interesting and newsworthy, but… This is stuff that those of us who’ve been at this a long time are already very well versed in. There’s also this video that was released last year on the part of John Greenwald Jr. over his Black Vault Originals YouTube channel. Flashback to 2019, Linda Howe on the alleged quote -unquote extraterrestrial bismuth and magnesium zinc piece. This is, again, arts parts. But yeah, so… Going back, some other bits in this Wall Street Journal article, you know, we’ve talked about when I’ve been reading and talking about occasionally things that I find of interest in Jacques Vallée’s Forbidden Science Journals, Volumes 1 through 6. I got to read a lot more of Volume 6 while I was on vacation last week. Really made some good progress. And man, oh man, there’s just so much information in these books. One of the things that we reported on was when I came across the part where Hal Puthoff talked to Jacques about having gone to some really strange, quote unquote, disclosure conference put on seemingly by the U .S. government or some faction thereof. Well, there’s something that addresses that here in this second Wall Street Journal article. It says the Arlington Institute. Puthoff, who also had a long history with exotic U .S. programs, creating one for the CIA in the 1970s to deploy psychic spies against the Soviet Union, told Kirkpatrick’s team of another mysterious incident that had fueled UFO belief. He said he had been invited to a 2004 panel in Arlington, Virginia, the type the government often quietly funds through think tanks to field new ideas. This one, Puthoff said he was told, was sponsored by the White House and given a very specific prompt. help the president decide whether or not he should finally disclose the existence of a crash retrieval program and assess the possible upheaval the revelation would ignite. What would be the effect on the stock market, on religion? Would aerospace companies sue the government into bankruptcy when they learned their rivals had decades ago been given access to alien technology? We, quote, we added up all the numbers and we said, no way, we can’t handle disclosure, Puthoff said in an interview. Kirkpatrick’s team investigated whether the White House really sponsored such an event. The chief executive of the think tank that hosted the discussion, John Peterson, told Kirkpatrick a former senior Pentagon space official had notified him that President George W. Bush was preparing to make public all the secrets held by the government about aliens. Quote, I was told that it was real, that it was happening, Peterson said in an interview. But months later, when Peterson asked the former official about the monumental truth about to be revealed, the reply was, I don’t even know what you’re talking about, unquote. Bush’s chief of staff from that time told Kirkpatrick he didn’t know about the panel or any such plan to disclose alien secrets. Both Kirkpatrick and Peterson ended up with the only explanation they could think of. Arlington Institute and the panelists had been tricked. For what reason remains a mystery? So again, this has been in Valet’s book as part of his journals for at least a couple of years, I think, as far as the published version. And so, yes, these are the kinds of bits of information that have been circulating that foment this myth, as the Wall Street Journal is trying to say. But again, this is not news. We’ve known that there’s been these kinds of things happening. And yes, anybody with an agnostic approach is like, I don’t know whether it’s true, but it sure is interesting and it sure makes it seem like somebody wants us to believe these things. Oh, we’ll get to that. Another section, maybe it’s the second to last one, is called The Safe. I’ll just get to the next article that I want to reference that talks about this, but it has to do with Lou Elizondo trying to get his evidence to the press. And then there, of course, is a section called football field sized craft that mostly talks about David Grush and his interactions with Kirkpatrick and them not being able to prove any of it. And that’s that’s it. I’m like, where are the big revelations? I mean, the previous article, excuse me, granted, the previous article at least had some the revelation that, oh, wait, there was something that was. requested to be excluded from the Arrow report, requested by the Air Force because it would embarrass them and create more distrust in the government. That was pretty big news. I acknowledge that. But is it news to those who’ve been paying attention? No. Who’ve been in this game for a lot longer? No. All right. Over at UAPDisclosureFund .org, we have this. Article from June 26th, UAP Disclosure Fund requests corrections to Wall Street Journal UAP series, June 26th, 2025. It basically has an opening saying that the UAPDF chairman Christopher Mellon sent the Wall Street Journal a formal letter detailing material inaccuracies in its recent two -part series on unidentified anomalous phenomena. The full text of that correction request is reproduced below for public reference. This is kind of a… hard to read scans of a, looks like a three or four page, yeah, three page letter. I’m sure it’s filled with good rebuttals to a lot of the information, but unfortunately they didn’t include a text searchable version. So somebody please OCR this and put it up. Don’t make me do it.
Okay, so about that safe. Sentinel News, journalist Baptiste Freescore, Has this article, Wall Street Journal, Arrow fails to recover direct evidence of UFOs from a safe. Joel Sheckman and Aruna Viswanatha describe how under the direction of Dr. Kirkpatrick, Arrow took hours to reach the location of a safe, even though it was in Lou Elizondo’s office. Yeah, so basically,
Lou Elizondo is interviewed by Kirkpatrick and Arrow. He revealed that his investigation had uncovered a secret program that had recovered extraterrestrial biological material. Elizondo also stated that solid evidence from his investigation stored on a hard drive was safely locked in a safe in his former office. He specified that a contact had confirmed to him a few days earlier that the hard drive was still there. Quote, hours after hearing of Elizondo’s evidence, agents from the FBI… and the Air Force’s Investigations Unit cordoned the office and gathered with a drill to break open the safe. As they approached it, they realized the drawer wasn’t actually locked. When they opened it, they found yet another surprise. It was empty. Precourt says this raises several questions. While the presence of Affacy may be one of them, this is not the first time it has been involved in UFO investigations. In fact, it has been involved many times before. Quote, Affacy is the Air Force’s felony level investigative service that detects and neutralizes threats to personnel and resources and investigates crimes, fraud, espionage, terrorism, and information systems and provides specialized services and support to DOT. Free court goes on. For example, Richard Doty, one of its agents, is known for actively spreading disinformation about UFOs. Anyway, all this is to say, you got, what is it, the fox guarding the hen house? And it’s all, I mean. Yeah, maybe Lou Elizondo is lying. Maybe there never was any evidence. Maybe he didn’t really have a friend go look for it. But it’s also easy to believe that he did. And that it was stolen or covered up by the same people that everybody believes have been covering up this stuff for years. Well… With the creation of that first Wall Street Journal article, we have a new page over at anomalyarchives .org called Yankee Blue UFO, where we are collecting information on the series of articles, these two articles by the Wall Street Journal, as well as people’s follow up to them. I have not updated it with the latest stuff about part two, as we’ve been covering here, but that’ll be put there for preservation and public education purposes. And we hope you’ll enjoy it. But again, this is not new. You know, I mean, for goodness sake, former head of MUFON, James Carrion, has been saying for years that he believes that basically the modern UFO myth, starting in the 1940s with the first flying saucer wave and the Roswell incident, have all been disinformation. have been created as cover stories for government military intelligence purposes. And he has made his two books, Anachronism and the Roswell Deception available for free online. If you go to our webpage for James Carrion, you can find links to that, that link to his blog, which he hasn’t updated in years called historydeceived .blogspot .com. But the links there to the free versions of the PDFs, as well as their archives over at AFU and Sweden’s website. But yeah, and of course he has been most recently interviewed by EFR folks, Expanding Frontiers Research, headliners Erica Lukes and James Brewer in a conversation called Cold War Deception and UFOs with James Carrion. And in February of this year, he got an article printed, I think in the online edition, though it’s behind a paywall. publication called international journal of intelligence and counterintelligence titled flying saucers and opening salvo of the cold war question mark. Anyway, you know, I don’t know that he has still believes that there’s anything other than disinfo at the heart of the UFO phenomenon, but this is an important part of trying to understand these subjects. You must come to grips with human deception. in order to weed from chaff when it comes to these kinds of subjects, especially as it relates to the possible non -human intelligence and possible counterintelligence, as exemplified by these disinfo operations. Well, where to next? Oh, yes. So I have recommended many times now the work of Tanner Boyle over at his Getting Spooked blog. I really enjoy his writing. We’re very similar in thought on the subject of UFOs and human deception. He has a great new article called How Jacques Vallée was Targeted by a Tentacle of Danny Casalaro’s Octopus. In Forbidden Science Dispatch number 10, we look at a mystery caller with a finance ploy. Robert Booth Nichols, Bob Lazar, and the Sam Israel III Ponzi scheme and the endless octopus conspiracy. Highly recommend this article. You know, when, as I’ve been reading Valet’s forbidden science journals, it takes me forever, as I say, because I’m taking so many copious notes because there’s just so much information there and it all comes back to now. Everything we’re experiencing for the last 10 years has, has been presaged by little tidbits in his journal. And that’s why I’m so happy that. His material is being archived and preserved at Rice University Archive of the Impossible. Anyway, this is a complicated story, but if you’ve watched the Octopus docuseries on Netflix, if you’ve ever heard of the weird connections between UFOs, JFK, and various conspiracy theories beyond just the Majestic 12 stuff, but involving it beyond… alien autopsies, but involving it. It’s just crazy how much overlap there is. And this is a great example. But basically, it all comes down to an apparent attempt to entrap Valet by somebody pretending to be or suggesting that they were a intercapitalist with connections to kind of deep state elements and an interest in UFOs. Valet did not take the bait. He saw all the red flags. And at least as he’s reported in his journals. But yeah, check this out. It’s a great essay. Great, as always, with lots of good citations and information. So many places to go if you dive into this. Of course, over at our website, we have a page on the Octopus Conspiracy with a bunch of links relevant to all these subjects. And I’ll be updating it to include this new article. I do actually recommend that Netflix series, American Conspiracy, The Octopus Murders, even though it disappointingly does not ever name our good friend who has passed, parapolitical researcher Ken Thomas, who helped publish the material of Danny Casolaro after his untimely murder, alleged suicide. And it… Despite it not actually ever mentioning Ken Thomas, I still think it’s a worthy watch for a variety of reasons, and that is available through Netflix. Okay. Gosh, we’re running out of time. Or, well, we’ll see. So another recent interview or discussion between Tanner Boyle and somebody who I am not familiar with, but who has this podcast called Coexist, Inc. has episode number 145, UFOs for Dummies. Have not listened to the discussion or interview yet, but imagine it must be pretty good because, again, it’s got Tanner Boyle in it. And Tanner tends to have very interesting friends when it comes to folks looking into this subject. But here is a clip that starts that. that podcast. I forget what X -Files episode this is from, or if it’s maybe it’s from the X -Files, one of the X -Files movies. I’m not sure, but I think you’ll enjoy this audio clip.
I don’t think she’s lying. I think that if you prepare people well enough to believe a lie, they will believe it as if it were true. And if you tell them a really big lie, like there are aliens from outer space, much more than a small one, they will believe it. And if you suggested them that these aliens are doing bad things to them. The power of this suggestion will be to make certain people believe that certain psychopathologies and neuroses that they’re suffering from can now be attributed to that. Mr. Mulder, Agent Mulder, she has physical ailments. Are you discounting any belief in the existence of extraterrestrials? It’s just question mindless belief. But you’ve cited evidence. You’ve made claims yourself. What I’ve seen, I’ve seen because I wanted to believe. If you look too hard, you can go mad. But if you continue to look… You become liberated and you come awake as if from a dream, realizing that the lies are there simply to protect what they’re advertising. A government which knows that its greatest strength is not in defense but in attack.
It’s strongly held by believers in UFO phenomena that there is military complicity or involvement in abductions. But what if there is no complicity? What if there is simply just the military seeking to develop an arsenal of weapons against which there is no defense? Biological warfare, which justifies in their eyes making an ass out of the nation with stories of little green men. A conspiracy wrapped in a plot inside a government agenda.
All right. Sorry, folks. Whoops.
One of our studios went down. Strange. It’s raining outside and there’s no computer went off, but we totally lost connection there. Oh, well, anyway, yeah, I cut off the very end of that video, that audio clip of Fox Mulder, David Duchovny, having a great speech where he’s kind of, he’s renouncing, countering his long held belief in extraterrestrials and government coverups in favor of the idea that, well, whatever the real possibility of extraterrestrials are, There are humans that are messing with you and messing with him and messing with us. And that’s all I’m warning folks about, while also suggesting that there is a real probable non -human intelligence at work or some aspect of our own or other species consciousness at play, but alongside those deceptions. Anyway,
so… Former interim Arrowhead Tim Phillips has been making the rounds and stirring up the UFO scene. And there is this excellent hour and 42 minute interview by him, by Mick West, quote unquote, arch debunker skeptic Mick West. And it’s really worth watching for so many different reasons. And one of the great things about it. is in the description. The entire interview is annotated by topic. So you can see what you want to, to, to focus in on and listen to the whole thing is great, but basically there’s a lot of interesting bits of information here that seem to be revelations again, like as hinted at in the wall street journal articles that we have not been privy to until now. And again, Baptiste Freescore over at his Sentinel News blog talks about this with the headline, former Arrow director Tim Phillips on the Nimitz UFO case, quote, they actually sent people to the Princeton to get recordings, unquote. Former acting director of the Pentagon UAP study program gave two interviews. Sentinel News selected the best excerpt. So Baptiste is doing a great job here at his Sentinel News blog where he just combs through all this news information and puts. the most salient and interesting bits in there. But yeah, so that’s one of the things. Tim Phillips is, I believe, contradicting Kirkpatrick, who says they found no evidence that any evidence was taken from the Nimitz as described by military crews that were on the ship. If I’m remembering correctly from this interview with McWest, yes, he says, DARPA took the tapes. The Defense Advanced Research and Projects Association. Well,
you can again, you can find more links to these kinds of interviews at our webpage for Tim Phillips over at anomalyarchives .org and including where we have reproduced that index, that annotated version of that YouTube interview with Nick West because it’s really, really good and important. There’s so much information there. Another one from Baptiste over at Sentinel News, NASA flight surgeon, quote, in the middle of the hangar was an actual flying saucer. It lifted off just like a feather. In an interview with retired F -16 pilot Chris Leto, Dr. Gregory Rogers, former chief of aerospace medicine, stated that a major had shown him footage of what appeared to be a flying saucer in a hangar. Now, is this more evidence of Yankee blue shenanigans?
What were they calling it? Hazing? A hazing ritual?
Perhaps. Again, I don’t discount the possibility that there are still yet to be discovered reverse engineering programs that whether or not they’ve actually recovered any craft, because for a long time, I really would urge people to disbelieve that the UFO phenomenon leaves such material behind. The vast majority of UFO in contact cases seemingly leave. you know, maybe charred vegetation, some radiation, that they can have real physical world effects on the environment, but they very rarely leave behind physical material. Now, I know of enough examples, as any good UFO researcher does, that counter that suggestion. And it does, if one still says, okay, well, maybe it’s not literal craft in the sense that… We expect it to mean like this image here of this U .S. Air Force flying saucer. And this leads to this idea that Jacques Vallée and Diana Pasolka and others have been suggesting for some time this idea that there are gifting fields, that there are incidents where the phenomena does leave behind material as if gifting humanity with some hints at… a more advanced technology. Fairy -like.
Just like the food those fairies give you in Fairyland, maybe we shouldn’t be eating it. Well, another interesting development is with former Rear Admiral Timothy Galladay and his wife Karen Galladay and Jeffrey Crookshank. Crookshank.
They’ve published this paper called Bluegill Triple Prime,
Triple Prime, the Recovery Operation. The introduction states, the Soviets knew we did the nuke test. They were probably in the room with us when we did that test because there was a small group of people on both sides during the Cuban Missile Crisis that were trying to do exactly what they did, which was fly, swat some bugs out of the sky, unquote. That was Blink -182 frontman Tom DeLonge on Jimmy Church’s program, Fade to Black, broadcast August 30th, 2016. He was describing what he was told by two unnamed high -level U .S. Air Force insiders during meetings in extremely secured areas of certain USAF facilities. Unfortunately for DeLonge, just 10 days after this program was aired, people digging through the files of the DNC WikiLeaks hack discovered the names of those two sources. DeLong had been in conversations earlier that year with USAF generals Neil McCasland and Mike Cleary, as well as Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign manager, John Podesta. That’s how this article begins. It’s about a 46 -page essay by, as I say, Rear Admiral Tim Galladay, Karen Galladay, and Jeffrey P. Cruikshank. And you can find, again, more information about this over at… Sentinel News by Baptiste Friskort. A new report alleges that Navy crew members were irradiated while recovering a UFO in their white paper. Those authors I mentioned allege that a UFO recovery operation in the Pacific contaminated military personnel. The article was released on LinkedIn by former intelligence officer Jeffrey Cruikshank puts forward the bold idea that a UFO was shot down during a nuclear X -ray experiment at the height of the Cold War, an idea still debated to this day. Now, I have several hardcore skeptic friends that say this is complete bunk and that they and others have debunked it long ago. I’m not weighing in on this. I just put it out there because it’s very interesting when you’ve got these high -level people pushing the story yet again. And maybe they’re uncovering new information that contradicts past debunkings. I don’t know. Make of that what you will. Again, in terms of skepticism and debunking, we’ve already mentioned the work of Douglas Dean Johnson, who back in May of this year had this article posted to his website, douglasjohnson .ghost .io. Bluegill Triple Prime did a nuclear test knock down a non -human craft in 1962. I’m sure he believes no. Anyway,
that’s all there for you to check out. Again, we are quickly running out of time. God, there just is so much more I wanted to cover just real quickly here.
We have John Greenwald Jr. over at the Black Vault with… Email from Pentagon spokesperson uncovered on Gimbal, FLIR -1, and GoFast UFO videos. These are emails to and from Susan Goff, who, as we’ve reported, has written papers where she basically says, yes, the government, military, and intelligence agencies have the right and need to lie to the American people. She has been alleged to be part of a cover -up of these efforts. I don’t know the truth of that. I certainly don’t want to. defame her. But anyway, Greenwald has, through his FOIA efforts, gotten new information released about discussions in emails about those videos with various interesting people in the military and the media. Over at expandingfrontiersresearch .org, Jack Brewer posted this. UFO group was reported as Communist Front in 1958. This is an interesting backstory on cryptozoologist Ivan T. Sanderson, that’s Ivan Terrence Sanderson, ratting out some perceived commies fronting as a UFO group in New York and elsewhere. We do have a page over at the website, anomalyarchives .org, on Ivan Terrence Sanderson, a very fascinating fellow who we have some materials from the Bob Durant collection. Robert J. Durant was a well -known UFO researcher and friend of Ivan Sanderson. And he was also a member of the board of directors of the SITU Society for the Investigation of the Unexplained, SITU, which was the organization created by Ivan T. Sanderson back in the day. And we’ve got links to various information about our collections and other people’s collections. Several of Ivan’s materials are archived at places like the American Philosophical Society in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
And we’ve got links to material archived there and elsewhere, as well as Michael Sword’s collection, part of the Kufos North collection. Though that may now be in New Mexico with the National UFO Historical Records Center, David Marler’s organization. Sure yet, but we’ll find out. A fun video between Ryan Sprague and Paul Kimball, where Paul talks about… the top five people in ufology he misses most. Check that out. There is this clickbait, 11 best UFO movies of all time over at nofilmschool .com. There, of course, is these rumors circulating of what is going to be the subject of Steven Spielberg’s latest science fiction film that has been kept so secret. Over at comicbookmovie .com, Steven Spielberg screens first footage from his top secret untitled sci -fi film rumored to involve UFOs. Speculation ranges from that it’s a sequel or somehow connected to his previous UFO films like Close Encounters of the Third Kind or E .T. the Extraterrestrial. But all we know really is what’s described in these scenes as witnessed by people that were there at the inaugural. opening of his new Steven Spielberg Theater, a 250 -seat cinema dedicated to his legacy.
Yeah, so there are clips that feature Emily Blunt as a, quote, relatable down -to -earth woman living in a quiet rural area who is being chased by shadowy figures in unmarked black vehicles. Quote, one particularly gripping moment showed her damaged sedan with Josh O ‘Connor’s character inside crashing headlong into an oncoming train. Colin Firth appeared to take on an antagonistic role seen in a tense moment inside a futuristic underground laboratory or sci -fi bunker. Yeah, so not much to go on, but woohoo!
I’m pretty excited. I think it’s set for a release on my birthday, June 12th, 2026. God, it’s a long time to write. Yeah, there it goes. The untitled Steven Spielberg film from Universal Pictures is currently set to hit theaters on June 12th.
All right. Meanwhile, over at a website I’d never seen before, UFONAR. That’s UFO in AR. UFOs and the nuclear arms race in AR. An article by Ryan titled, Last Remaining Witnesses of Father Gill UFO Have Passed Away. This is a very famous UFO incident that, again, may just be a misidentified secret government military hovercraft. But this researcher has just been trying to make note that it appears that all the known witnesses to this incident have since passed away. So again, some preservation effort here. But there is the tip of the hat here to the speculation that this could be some terrestrial, you know, non -UFO, just a misidentified mystery human military craft like these human -enabled flight. I forget what these were called. The Hiller VZ1 and the Hiller Flying Platform as photographed in 1957. But yeah, maybe they’ll turn up some other witnesses to this who are still alive. That would be great. Over at societyforuapstudies .org is this article by Boulder Professor Michael Zimmerman. Alien abduction, even if true, impossible to believe. This looks to be a very interesting article. It’s so rare to see stuff about alien abductions these days. I’m very curious to read what he has to say, especially as he is an academic, and this is being put out by SUAPS, the Society for UAP Studies. Could be very interesting. Oh, I did not. Got to remember to change the… There it is. There’s the website. SUAPS, Society for UAP Studies, and Zimmerman’s alien abduction, even if true, impossible to believe? Question mark. Well,

Multiple deadly incidents attributed to India’s infamous ghost lights. Fishermen in India are on edge following a series of deaths that have been attributed to an infamous phenomenon called the Alea ghost lights. According to a local media report, the mysterious spherical illuminations have been seen hovering over marshlands in the state of West Bengal for generations. The baffling balls of light carry with them a frightening reputation as over the last 100 years, nearly 50 fishermen have perished in incidents later blamed on encounters with the eerie phenomenon thought by many to be the spirits of individuals who met a similar unfortunate fate. Well, there is so much more I wanted to report on. In the arena of consciousness, there’s this new article from theconversation .com called Trauma is Carried in Your DNA, but science… But science!
science!
But science reveals a more complicated story. Now, this reminds me of a two -part blog post from UFO researcher David Halperin from a few years back, November of 2021. Collective Trauma, Race, and UFO Abduction, the work of Joy Degree, as well as part two, which is titled Collective Trauma, Race, and UFO Abduction, the work of Barbara Sermonara. I’m not sure exactly if these are related to the article over at theconversation .com, but there’s these ideas being put forth that may or may not have relevance to the alien abduction phenomena and other strange anomalous experiences. Okay, quickly, I’m trying to get through all this stuff. There’s so much, but yeah, I’m going to just, I’ll post all the links that I wanted to talk about in the show notes for this episode.
