Miguel Romero – “Smoke, Mirrors & Plexig

Website: AbsurdByDesign.comlass Windows: The Nested Deceptions of Planet UMMO”

Agnostic gnostic, walking conundrum & metaphysical oxymoron (with emphasis in the ‘moron’ part), the mysterious RPJ leaves a double life: By day he serves as Grand Master of the International Sacred Order of Lucha Libre, but at night he pursues his life-long study of everything considered mysterious and/or ‘paranormal’ –a term he personally detests… When he’s not exploring the web looking for his daily fix of Forteana, he can be found blogging, doodling, fooling around and offering his services as news administrator and writer at The Daily Grail. He also regularly participates in other websites and podcasts like Radio Misterioso and Where Did the Road Go? He impatiently awaits for the return of the mothership in Mexico City.”

Professor WHAM – “Aliens or Alienated: Hidden Assumptions About Race That Persist In Paranormal Cultures”

Website: ProfessorWHAM.com

“WHAM is a history wonk with too many degrees and a love of the occult, mysticism, shamanism, all things paranormal and horror fiction. Her specialties are religious history, Sufism, Runes and UFO/alien phenomena. Her super hero name is an acronym for a lengthy Arabic Sufi name that her friends refuse to spell or pronounce. WHAM has actual academic degrees, under a mundane name more suitable for a podiatrist, and works most days as a college teacher and data analyst. She currently lives in the Hudson Valley, where she is also known as Professor WHAM. She is a consultant for the Bigfoot Researchers of the Hudson Valley and teaches workshops on meditation, paranormal topics and esoteric subjects. WHAM is also involved with several projects in the Hudson Valley that support Native and environmental concerns. She is also a Co-Host on Church of Mabus Radio.“

Brent Raynes – “The Myths and Mysteries of the UFO Matrix”

Website: APmagazine.info

“Brent has been the Editor of Alternate Perceptions Magazine since he began publishing earlier renditions of it in the 1970s. Brent began researching UFO events in the late 60s and met nearly every major contactee and researcher in the field. He wrote articles for Fate Magazine, Recovery Times, and various other magazines as well as writing a chapter for Dr. Bert Schwarz’s UFO Dynamics, sections for Dr. Greg Little’s Grand Illusions and People of the Web. He has presented at several major UFO conferences and been a co-leader of tours to American mound sites. Brent is author of the books Visitors from Hidden Realms and On The Edge of Reality.”

Chris Rutkowski – “Preserving Ufological History (The Canadian Connection)”Websites: uforum.blogspot.comCanadianUfoReport.com  / Books

Chris Rutkowski, BSc, MEd, is a Canadian science writer and educator, with a background in astronomy but with a passion for teaching science concepts to children and adults. Since the mid-1970s, he also has been studying reports of UFOs and writing about his investigations and research. He has published several books, including: Visitations? (1989); Unnatural History (1993); Mysterious Manitoba, co-authored with Dave Creighton and Brian Fidler (1997); Abductions and Aliens (2000); The Canadian UFO Report , co-authored with Geoff Dittman (2006); A World of UFOs (2008), I Saw It Too! (2009) and The Big Book of UFOs (2010). Rutkowski also has contributed chapters to many anthologies such as Phenomenon, Frontiers of Reality and UFO 1947-1997, a 50th anniversary review of the UFO phenomenon. He was a contributing editor of International UFO Reporter and was the editor of the Swamp Gas Journal, an occasional ufozine first published in 1978 when he was part of Decadent Winnipeg Fandom. He is a past-president of the Winnipeg Science Fiction Society and was part of the Winnipeg SF community that gathered Saturdays at the home of the legendary “first fan” Chester Cuthbert. He is currently vice president of the Manitoba Writers’ Guild. Chris Rutkowski blogs at: uforum.blogspot.com

Craig Woolheater – “Caddo Creatures – Bigfoot in Jefferson, Texas”

Websites: Texas Bigfoot Research Center / Cryptomundo.com

“When I was a child I was always interested in strange and unusual subjects. I was extremely interested in dinosaurs as I’m sure most kids are. When I was 9 years old the story of the Lake Worth Monster hit the front page of the Ft. Worth Star Telegram. My grandparents had a cabin cruiser boat on Eagle Mountain Lake which was separated by a dam from Lake Worth. I had spent many a night on that boat anchored out in the middle of Eagle Mountain Lake. As you can guess, the many scenarios involving the creature ran through my head. The story died down in November of 1969. The next year I obtained a copy of John A. Keel’s book Strange Creatures from Time & Space. It was very influential to me. Of course, like most people interested in Bigfoot, I saw the movie The Legend of Boggy Creek. I saw it in the theater and it made me think about the possibility that Bigfoot was closer to me than I had previously thought. …  We formed the Texas Bigfoot Research Center in June of 1999. The rest as they say is history. In January, 2007, the TBRC reorganized as a 501(c)(3), non-profit, scientific research organization. The organization’s name was the Texas Bigfoot Research Conservancy. In March 2013, the organization has adopted the name North American Wood Ape Conservancy (NAWAC). I resigned from the organization on July 10, 2010 to focus my attention on other endeavors, such as Cryptomundo. As of December 24, 2013, I have resurrected the original TBRC, the Texas Bigfoot Research Center. I have appeared in or contributed to the following TV programs, documentaries and films: OLN’s Mysterious Encounters: “Caddo Critter,” Southern Fried Bigfoot, Travel Channel’s Weird Travels: “Bigfoot,” History Channel’s MonsterQuest: “Swamp Stalker,” The Wild Man of the Navidad, Bigfoot Wars, Willow Creek, Exists, Destination America’s Monsters and Mysteries in America: Texas Terror, Lake Worth, Monster, Animal Planet’s Finding Bigfoot”

MOCK UP ON MU (2008) 114min
Directed by Craig Baldwin / Cinematography by Bill Daniel, James T. Hong, Daniel Gorrell

A radical hybrid of spy, sci-fi, Western, and even horror genres, Craig Baldwin‘s Mock Up On Mu cobbles together a feature-length “collage-narrative” based on (mostly) true stories of California’s post-War sub-cultures of rocket pioneers, alternative religions, and Beat lifestyles.

Pulp-serial snippets, industrial-film imagery, and B- (and Z-) fiction clips are intercut with newly shot live-action material, powering a playful, allegorical trajectory through the now-mythic occult matrix of Jack Parsons (Crowleyite founder of the Jet Propulsion Lab), L.Ron Hubbard (sci-fi author turned cult-leader), and Marjorie Cameron (bohemian artist and “mother of the New Age movement”). Their intertwined tales spin out into a speculative farce on the militarization of space, and the corporate take-over of spiritual fulfillment and leisure-time.

Holiday UFO Gifts To Unwrap…

The past two weeks have been quite a ride for folks interested in the UFO subject. The revelation of what many have suspected for a long time, that the Pentagon likely has ongoing projects investigating mysterious anomalous encounters, has ignited the media-sphere with discussion of this big UFO news. Some have known this was coming for over a year. Pop-punk icon turned paranormal media mogulTom DeLonge has been teasing such revelations for a long time and back on October 11th he made UFOlogical history with his social media streamed press teleconference launching his crowdfunded Public Benefit Corporation, To The Stars Academy of Arts & Science, that features a bevy of Deep State Intelligence Operatives on its founding board of advisors. It wasn’t until two weeks ago and the NYTimes’ media campaign’s rollout of the identity of the Pentagon’s Advanced Aviation Threat Identification Program, that the extent and shape of this introductory “disclosure” began to be fleshed out by various investigative journalists both within and without the UFO research community.

At the Anomaly Archives’ File/Collection pages below you can find a fantastic collection of links to news and analysis of this latest and greatest UFO Media Flap!

Some of the most important links include…

  • October 11, 2017 – Louis Elizondo goes public at To The Stars Academy of Arts & Science press teleconference with Tom DeLonge, without naming the Pentagon’s AATIP. (YouTube Archive). Transcript of broadcast: click here.

. . . Susan Lepselter, an anthropology professor at Indiana University Bloomington, pointed out that the times we live in have a lot to do with the fears that inform our thinking about UFOs — from the nuclear era to global warming.

“Our sense of precariousness is very high right now,” Lepselter tells us. “When you think about an alien or UFO, it reminds us we are all citizens of Earth.”

Book of the Week…

In 2005 I met the author of this issue’s Book-of-the-Week at the Anomaly Archives’ biggest ever event, the Texas Ghost Lights Conference featuring me as Master of Ceremonies with speakers including Rob Riggs, Nick Redfern, Paul Devereux, and … James Bunnell. Back in the Summer of 2016, Mr. Bunnell donated a number of books to the Anomaly Archives, including his own latest book and an archival DVD featuring his work on the Marfa Mystery Lights.

Book of the Week…

Strange Lights In West Texas

by James Bunnell

“Bunnell, a Texas native with 37 years in the aerospace industry, relates his investigation of the Marfa Lights, which he also chronicled in three previous books (Hunting Marfa Lights, 2009, etc.). The lights are famous throughout North America, but particularly in the Lone Star State.”

The Truth Is Out There by Michael Hall – Texas Monthly, June 2006

“Forget what the believers and the skeptics say. Forget what you’ve seen, or think you’ve seen, with your own eyes. There’s no way to know if the Marfa lights are real—and that’s what’s so great about them.”

Remote Viewing & UFOs

Using one mystery to try to explain another: That’s what seems to be happening in the perpetual interplay between remote viewing (RV) and unidentified aerial phenomena–popularly known as UFOs–space aliens, and everything connected to them in the popular culture. This confluence of RV and UFOs goes back almost to the beginning of remote viewing itself, and not just the notorious, but some of the most prominent and respected members of the remote viewing community have indulged. Impossible to fully capture in one evening discussion, I nonetheless introduce you to the general outlines of the controversy, sketch for you the interrelationships of some of the main figures and their claims, show you some of the more provocative and interesting results, and explain the advantages and shortfalls of employing remote viewing to ferret out the truth of extraterrestrial visitation.

About Paul H. Smith …

Paul H. Smith was recruited into Star Gate remote viewing psychic espionage program in 1983. During his seven years in that program, he studied under the legendary Hal Puthoff and Ingo Swann, served as a first-line operational remote viewer, wrote the official manual on controlled remote viewing, and taught CRV to new military remote viewer candidates.  Among his students are included now-famous remote viewers such as Lyn Buchanan, Mel Riley, and David Morehouse.  Paul has briefed and demonstrated remote viewing to senators, admirals and generals, and other senior military and government officials.  He is president and chief instructor of Remote Viewing Instructional Services, Inc., and is a founding director of the non-profit International Remote Viewing Association, of which he is president.  His book “Reading the Enemy’s Mind: Inside Star Gate – America’s Psychic Espionage Program,” was a Book Bonus Feature and Editors Choice Selection for Readers Digest.

His latest book is “The Essential Guide to Remote Viewing: The Secret Military Remote Perception Skill Anyone Can Learn.”  Paul is also co-producer of the acclaimed DVD-based  “Learn Dowsing” training course, and the “Remote Perception: Basic Operational Training” remote viewing home-study program.  He has a BA from Brigham Young University, an MS from the National Defense University (both in Middle Eastern Studies), and a Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Texas at Austin, writing on consciousness, philosophy of mind, and philosophy of science.
