Greetings fellow Forteans, Anomalists, & UFOlks!
With UFOs still in the news after the finale of DeLonge’s / TTSA’s History Channel series UNIDENTIFIED and much media coverage of the “Storm Area-51” flashmob / meetup, it seemed appropriate to feature original Area-51 “publicist” Glenn Campbell’s work in both our Book-of-the-Week and Video-of-the-Week. Check them out below along with a wealth of other news stories in our News-Headlines section in this edition of the newsletter as well as many more articles you can find at our Anomaly Archives Flipboard page.

Visiting Area 51
PBS – The Good Stuff
(with Glenn Campbell / circa 2016)
Published on Feb 2, 2016
Area 51 might be the most well-known top secret military base in the world. It has appeared in movies, tv, books, and video games. Yet we still don’t know what is going on in there. We take a trip to the middle of nowhere to find out what’s going on with Area 51! What goes on in Area 51? Where is Area 51?
There is always so much going on that I’d like to explore and comment upon but alas, there aren’t enough hours in my day – if only the Anomaly Archives were my “day job.” Suffice to say I urge you to comb through this issue’s many items of interest; from the Video-of-the-Week and Cargo-Culture columns to the amazing array of Anomalous-Headlines.
Meanwhile there are several articles linked in the news section below detailing the Momo/YouTube parental-panic, loads of links to new books and reviews, yet more articles chronicling the unfolding AATIP / TTSA saga including Luis Elizondo’s recent presentation – “UFOs ARE Real” – at the SCU’s Scientific Conference on Anomalous Aerospace Phenomena held at the Rocket City Tavern in Huntsville, Alabama, near Redstone Arsenal, the History channel’s launch of the new To The Stars Academy series Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation. There is so much I’d like to say about these developments but for now I’ll just quote Red Pill Junkie from his latest Daily Grail article, UFO Programming, TTSA, Techgnosis & Hyperreality:
“It bears repeating that TTSA’s connection with the US Intelligence world should not be overlooked… Whenever the CIA or other agencies get involved in the production of a UFO documentary, some subrosa agenda is always embedded…
A TTSA series might be utilized as a tool to manipulate public opinion so it aligns with some hidden agenda. An agenda that might seek to sell UFOs to the American public as a technological ‘threat’ which should be urgently studied –and even harnessed if possible– lest the Chinese and the Russians beat them to it.
We’ve finally posted the videos from December’s OPEN HOUSE Event, with a 30 minute introduction to the Anomaly Archives by SMiles Lewis and two hour video of Nick Redfern‘s lecture, Top Secret Alien Abduction Files: What the Government Doesn’t Want You to Know, including a half-hour Question-and-Answer session with special Dulce-New-Mexico-Mystery-Black-Helicopter story from San Antonio journalist, Ed Conroy (author of the fantastic book, Report on Communion)! These videos aren’t perfect – there are some audio and video issues – but we know you’ll enjoy these phenomenal presentations.
COMING SOON: More videos to be posted soon, including Barbara MacLeod’s epic State-Shamanism presentation, past lectures and interviews with late Texas paranormal-Bigfoot researcher Rob Riggs, and many more! All to be featured at the Anomaly Archives YouTube Channel.
Anomaly Archives board member, Jeremy Wells, is a journalist writing for the Grayson Journal-Enquirer in Grayson, Kentucky. One of his latest articles can be found in the Spring 2019 edition of the Olive Hill Quarterly. It’s about Seth Breedlove’s latest project from his Small Town Monsters productions (YouTube channel), called On the Trail of Bigfoot. The article,Exploring Reports From The Pacific Northwest To The TriState, can be read online (pages 14-19). If you are truly deeply interested in the subject of CryptoZoology and Bigfoot in America, we highly recommend Jeremy’s more in-depth interview with Seth Breedlove available on YouTube, which we feature as our Cargo-Culture feature for this installment of the Anomaly Archives newsletter, below.
All of this Bigfootery reminds us of the excellent presentation that Jeremy gave to our Anomaly Archives audience back a couple of years ago … this flashback below also features links to the SasWhat podcast episode from two years ago in which a different Seth talks with Texas based bigfoot research org memebers from NAWAC about the infamous Area-X that Jeremy talks about with Seth (Breedlove) in our Cargo Culture feature video…
[NOTE: This is not an official presentation by NAWAC – though I highly recommend there work. If you’d like to learn more about their efforts, visit their website and take a listen to this recent episode of the SasWhat podcast.]
Episode 84: Talking Area X (again) and Apes with Brian Brown – This week Seth sits down with Brian Brown to talk about the latest happenings with the NAWAC and their recent experiences in Area X. If you’ve been itching to hear what activity has been taking place inside the Ouachitas this past Winter then this is the episode for you! Special thanks to our listeners for submitting the bulk of the questions used in this episode.
Book-of-the-Week:
Another rare old book from the Bob Girard Collection… this one from the early 1800s on the enigma of Stonehenge – and with an amazingly psychedelic cover print… this little gem is so cool that we showed it off at last year at our Austin Archives Bazaar booth and our Open House event.

To Which Is Added, A History Of The Druids, The supposed Architects of Stonehenge. Salisbury: Printed And Sold By J. Easton: Sold also by Messrs. Cadell And Davies, Strand, London. 1821.”
SMiles Lewis Discusses the Anomaly Archives at its 2018 Open House Event
Introduction to the Anomaly Archives at the December 8th, 2018, Open House Event.
SMiles Lewis gives an introductory overview of the 501(c)3 nonprofit Scientific Anomaly Institute (Anomaly Archives) as part of the opening ceremonies for the Open House event for both the archives and its partner organization, INACS (Institute for Neuroscience And Consciousness Studies). This Open House event featured introductions to INACS by board president Bob Price, SAI founder and president SMiles Lewis, featured guest speaker Nick Redfern, tours of the new facility, and Holiday Celebration Party afterwards.
In this introduction, Miles gives some brief background on himself and what led him to found the Anomaly Archives in 2003. He describes some of the various donated collections that comprise the thousands of books and periodicals (plus paper files, digital / web files etc.) held within the Anomaly Archives.
He also briefly describes the various past locations of the Anomaly Archives while also describing the mission / goals and activities of the nonprofit.
Miles gives thanks to the many people he’s met along the way who have helped him with the organization through their volunteerism, donated collections, and more.
The many historic anomalous incidents that have occurred across the state of Texas are touched upon; from famous cryptid sightings (Bigfoot, Lake Worth Monster, etc.) to famous UFO sightings like the Cash-Landrum close encounter, Ray Stanford’s Blue Book “Unidentified” case from Austin’s Mansfield Dam, and local experiencers like San Antonio’s Whitley Strieber, and other abductees across Texas.

Talking “On The Trail Of Bigfoot”
with Seth Breedlove
“Journalist Jeremy D. Wells discusses the new “On the Trail of Bigfoot” mini-series, from Small Town Monsters, with writer and producer Seth Breedlove.
NOTES: I mistakenly say Daryl Colyer had his first Bigfoot sighting along the Pedernales River. Colyer has confirmed that it was actually along the Trinity River where a large, red (the color of dead pine needles), hair-covered creature crossed the path in front of him. This interview was initially the basis for a magazine article and review of the “On the Trail of Bigfoot” series. Though there are things in the audio that Breedlove asked me not to focus on in that story, or to keep “off the record”, he has given his permission to use the complete, unedited audio of our interview.”
So so sorry for the delay in getting another edition out to all of our wonderful email newsletter subscribers. We have been struggling with website and email related issues for the past month and a half. We sent out a test email to subscribers back on February 3rd but about a fourth of our subscribers (pretty much everyone with a Yahoo, Gmail, or AOL email address) did not receive the test and it appears we’ve been blacklisted and have had no luck trying to fix the situation. And some of those who received the test email said it had gone into their spam / junk folders.
In the meantime, we’re just forging ahead as best we can… if you receive this from a different email address than usual – ScientificAnomalyInstitute@Gmail.com for instance – it is likely because we could tell from the MailChimp reports that you didn’t get it through our normal method of sending the newsletter and we are trying to send it to you via the old-fashioned way… through an alternate Anomaly Archives email addy.
We will also be trying to post this edition to the website as we always do but in a faster fashion.
And did you know, you can subscribe to the website by using the “Subscribe to Blog via Email” function built into the website. If you go to any page on AnomalyArchives.org you can see a widget in the right-hand sidebar just below the Anomaly Archives logo that says:
“Subscribe to Blog via Email
Enter your email address to subscribe to this blog and receive notifications of new posts by email.”
… and then below that is a field to enter your email addy and then an orange “Subscribe” button.
We’re going to keep trying to fix this email newsletter problem but as they say, the show must go on! And what a show we are living through; we certainly live in “Interesting Times”. So many amazing news articles and new videos and books are coming out it hard to stay on top of it all.
Below you will find the now several weeks old email newsletter that was ready to send out quite some time ago … we’ve updated the news-links section but not added any more specific news items to the editorial below, though there are several amazing gems we hope you notice and take the time to discover more.
Well, until next time, keep watching the website and try to keep track of us in whatever way you can: our website, facebook, twitter, instagram, etc.
. . . . .
SMiles Lewis’ recent appearance on Erica Lukes’ UFO-CLASSIFIED radio show is now available in Audio MP3 and YouTube formats.
I had a great time talking with Erica on a wide variety of topics ranging from my personal approach to UFOs, the problem of speculative conspiracy theorizing (especially as it relates to mass-shooting events) as well as anonymity issues within the field of ufology.
We are excited to announce the triumphant return of new videos from our INACS partners; board president, Bob Price, has resumed producing archival videos of past INACS lecture events, beginning with its first event at our new downtown location from last May, 2018. This presentation features Ned Wolf discussing dowsing and radionics for personal health.
This issue’s book of the week is by a longtime local friend of mine who is a PhD physicist. We met online back in the late 1990s through our mutual interest in sleep paralysis and related phenomena.
Sirley recently donated to INACS over 160 books from her personal library.
Next month (on Tuesday, February 19th) IONS Austin (Co-Sponsored by INACS) is hosting a presentation by Sirley on this subject at its next Meetup. Click the link for more details …

Anomaly News Headlines
Some of the headlines I think you might want to pay close attention to (from the many more available to read in the news section below) include…
Self-Experiments with Consciousness and Hypnagogia:
A scientist’s personal exploration of consciousness at the threshold of sleep and beyond
by Sirley Marques Bonham, Ph.D.
Tom Campbell – noted Physicist and author of “My Big Toe” writes in the Foreword of Sirley’s new book .. “There are thousands of reports of psi events that have been experienced by credible individuals and competent researchers during the last two hundred years but none have developed an overarching model that explains everything (normal and paranormal)…. What is needed, what Dr. Bonham seeks is a new perspective, a new way of looking at reality that circumvents the materialistic perspective that has so completely dominated thinking in science as well as in Western culture generally.”
“This book tells about the author’s personal experience with subjective phenomena of the human mind and consciousness, with special emphasis on phenomena perceived at the threshold of sleep and wakefulness, known as hypnopompic and hypnogogic experiences (or in short “hypnagogia”), which she considers quite special, as it will allow a person to maintain awareness, or lucidity, while the physical body falls asleep, therefore having the chance to explore out-of-body experiences and lucid dreams. However, it is not all about out-of-body experiences or lucid dreams, as she tells about her personal experiences from her involvement with esoteric philosophy and the Brazilian spiritism, and discusses several special issues from the development of her knowledge on other subjects, like for example remote viewing, starting with her involvement with the Society for Scientific Exploration where she met with the first explorers and the initiators of remote viewing research. The author also improved her knowledge of the mind through her involvement with neuroscience, as well as psychological theories of cognition, and research on memory and learning. Her personal experiences also lead her to study the literature on the subject of bio-energetic phenomena (the so-called Kundalini phenomena) and other interesting areas that address the subjective phenomena of the mind in many forms. One important subject discussed is that of “sleep paralysis,” which can produce problematic hypnagogias. In fact she has published a scientific paper, along with Jean-Christophe Terrillon, on recurrent sleep paralysis, which has been widely referred in the literature on this subject, after its publication by the Journal of Scientific Exploration in 2001. This paper is included in the book as an appendix, due to its importance in helping people suffering from this condition. Finally, this book assesses the present panorama with personal subjective experiences in general, which the author strongly believes may produce important developments in the understanding of the mind and consciousness in general, consequently increasing the possibility of experiencing the worlds beyond the physical, or beyond death.”

Creating Vibrant Health with Dowsing and Radionics, Pt 1, featuring Ned Wolf
Sunday, May 27th, 2018, 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm Presented at INACS’ new office and conference space: 55 North IH-35, Austin, TX 78702, 2nd fl Training Rm
In this presentation, we explore the ancient art of dowsing as well as the dynamics of creating vibrant health and healing with dowsing and radionics. In so doing, we expand our awareness of the true power of healing that resides within each of us. Radionics is a healing technique in which our natural intuitive faculties are used both to discover the energetic disturbances underlying illness and to encourage the return of an energetic field that supports good health. In trained hands, dowsing and radionic treatment can be helpful in enhancing wellness and treating a wide range of conditions.
As beings of energy, we can benefit greatly from mastering the ancient art of dowsing. As a tool, dowsing is an effective discipline for melding our intellectual with our intuitive consciousness. This process enhances both types of consciousness and through it we become more tuned into the messages that originate from the subtle realms of reality.
This ancient practice of dowsing can also been used to expand our perceptual mechanisms and to replace superstitious and distorted thinking with clear perceptions of the many layers of reality in which we exist.
About our speaker: Ned Wolf is an author, counselor, natural healer, and musician. Ned has written a number of books, including Awaken Your Power To Heal, published in 1999. That was followed by a book of poetry called Sailing On A Banshee Wind and Floraporna, a collection of macrophotography featuring Western Australian flowers. In his latest works, the Nandia Trilogy, Ned illuminates through a magical adventure how each of us is here to express our unique contribution to humankind’s collective growth and evolution.
In his healing work, Ned uses vibrational therapies that are produced radionically, including Reiki energy, as well as rebirthing breathwork.
When Ned was eight years old, a water dowser showed him how to find water using twin L-shaped dowsing rods. Later, he was trained in the use of a pendulum and today he teaches classes not only in medicinal dowsing, but also Reiki counseling and the use of mediation skills.
Ned Wolf lives in Northern Arizona on the banks of twin lakes that overlook a national forest. In his spare time, Ned is a tennis enthusiast, practices Tai Chi, pursues his passion for playing and singing music and enjoys caring for the wide variety of wildlife that come calling at his back door. An avid student of Jane Roberts’ Seth books, he enjoys dreamtime work as well as creating opportunities for himself and others to expand their creative expressions.

Back in January / February of 2016, I experienced a strange auditory phenomena on-and-off for about 26 days. Was it the notorious Worldwide Mystery Hum phenomenon? Upon mentioning it to my good friend and PsiOp-Radio co-host Mack White, I discovered that he too had a strange auditory experience last year in October. Though we are geographically distant (I in Austin and he in Fort Worth) we compare notes and discuss this puzzling phenomenon.
– BOOK OF THE WEEK
We’ve got another international classic in this week’s installment.
Black Elk Speaks is a 1932 book by John G. Neihardt, an American poet and writer, who relates the story of Black Elk, an Oglala Lakotamedicine man. Black Elk spoke in Lakota and Black Elk’s son, Ben Black Elk, who was present during the talks, translated his father’s words into English.[1] Neihardt made notes during these talks which he later used as the basis for his book.[2]
The prominent psychologist Carl Jung read the book in the 1930s and urged its translation into German; in 1955, it was published as Ich rufe mein Volk (I Call My People).[3]
Reprinted in the US in 1961, with a 1988 edition named Black Elk Speaks: Being the Life Story of a Holy Man of the Oglala Sioux, as told through John G. Neihardt (Flaming Rainbow) and a State University of New York Press 2008 Premier Edition annotated by Lakota scholar Raymond DeMallie, the book has found an international audience. However, the book has come under fire for what critics describe as inaccurate representations of Lakota culture and beliefs.
In the summer of 1930, as part of his research into the Native American perspective on the Ghost Dance movement, the poet and writer John G. Neihardt, already the Nebraska poet laureate, received the necessary permission from the Bureau of Indian Affairs to go to the Pine Ridge Reservation. Accompanied by his two daughters, he went to meet an Oglala holy man named Black Elk. His intention was to talk to someone who had participated in the Ghost Dance. For the most part, the reservations were not then open to visitors.[4] At age 13, Black Elk had also been part of the Battle of the Little Big Horn, and he survived the 1890 Wounded Knee Massacre.
