Anomalous Archives in Texas

Opening of the Archives of the Impossible @RiceUniversity
March 3-6, 2022

Greetings Friends and Supporters of the Anomaly Archives!

It’s been nearly 6 months since our last eNews installment. I apologize for this long delay but, as with many folks during this pandemic, it’s been a tremendously difficult time for me (SMiles Lewis) in my personal life, in my day-job life, and of course, with my life’s-work, my passion-project, these Anomaly Archives. The loss of loved ones and the (hopefully temporary) loss of ground towards one’s most-loved endeavors is an ongoing source of grief and challenge for me and the Anomaly Archives board of directors and its volunteers. While there has been no change in the hiatus status of the Anomaly Archives collections laying in storage in South Austin, the long-awaited grand opening of another Texas-based anomalous archive is finally happening!

I’m proud and excited to be a panelist representing the independent nonprofit Anomaly Archives as part of the public opening of this important new anomalous archive at Rice University. Follow the links and information below to find out more about this Tuesday’s zoom session that is the first in a free series of preparatory webinars setting the stage for the March 3rd through 6th, grand opening event.

I probably first learned of the Archives of the Impossible at Rice University in late 2018 or early 2019. It was incredibly exciting to discover its existence, piecemeal, before any overt public announcement. I think I first found information about it while searching the PCHP (Preserving the Historical Collections of Parapsychology) directory and noticing the entry for Rice University. At that point I think it was still being referred to as the “GEM Archives” because of its Gnosticism, Esotericism, and Mysticism (GEM) certificate program connection. Soon thereafter I heard Diana Walsh Pasulka alluding to the formation of the archive in an interview she did on Podcast UFO. Within a year of learning about the new Rice University / Fondren Library special collection, and piecing together part of its origin story, I was invited to participate. It may have taken two years since first getting wind of its existence but in a month’s time I’ll finally get to visit it in person AND be a part of its opening events!

Back in the April 15th, 2019 edition of the eNewsletter I mused on the sea-change in academic anomalistics while referencing the Archives of the Impossible at Rice University:

“We may be witnessing a new renaissance in anomalistic / para oriented public events. While rumors swirl about the activities and identities of anonymous “Invisible College” UFO researchers recently re-described in Dr. Diana Pasulka’s book American Cosmic, public organizations such as the Archives of the Impossible (formerly the GEM Archives [Gnosticism, Esotericism, and Mysticism]) at Rice University, Houston (within the Fondren Library’s Woodson Research Center – special collections) … We’ve also seen the recent … shift towards more scientific and academically accepted public events. Meanwhile, the more traditional, folksy festival type events continue to flourish and grow across the country.”

IMAGE: Anne & Whitley Strieber Collection 1970-2016 at the Archives of the Impossible, Rice University.

Later that year in our October 24th, 2019 edition of the eNewsletter – as we edged towards the great unknown awaiting us in the pandemic future of 2020 – we linked to the announcement of the opening Jeff Kripal’s, Opening of the Archives of the Impossible at Rice University, to launch in late October, early November of 2020:

Archives in the News

[Grand Opening Originally Scheduled for Oct 29 – Nov 1, 2020]

We are delighted and honored to have been invited to be a panel participant at this unique event celebrating the opening of this important and unique archive. The 3 upcoming free webinars coming up this Tuesday the 8th, then the following Tuesday the 15th, and another on Thursday the 24th (see below for details) make the next 3 weeks in February of 2022 into an amazing lead in to this grand opening event for Jeff Kripal’s and Rice University’s Archives-Of-The-Impossible!

We hope you all will show your interest and support for this amazing event. It is an important milestone along the journey of creating a more respectable foundation for the exploration of these strange surrealities found within the raw living experiencing of folklore and myth which make up the storyline of humanity’s long-term contact with seemingly Alien Others.

Below in the rest of this long-overdue eNews installment is part of the introductory message from Professor Kripal that you can see at the official ImpossibleArchives.Rice.Edu website (where you can also see the event schedule and register for all of the events) along with the list of Plenary Speakers as well as links to the upcoming Pre-Event Webinars to prime your psychic pump for the main event.

After that you’ll find the usual long list of latest Anomaly News Headlines that we post to our Flipboard Magazine, as well as link to the interview with did with Professor Jeffrey Kripal for the 2020 Streamathon Emergency Fundraiser.

Finally, for a little humor and levity, check out this old Rice University archive flashback about a UFO-Hoax perpetrated by students in 1966.

Jeffrey Kripal Welcomes You To The Archives Of The Impossible

“The intellectual gravity of the gifts of Vallée, Strieber, and May created a kind of “black hole” effect among those who knew. Soon, others were attracted by their gravitational pull and approached us with their own offers of generosity. These individuals included Brenda Denzler and Diana Pasulka, two scholars of religion with extensive ethnographic and interviewing experience with contactees; Robert Fuller, an accomplished psychologist of religion whose father had collected almost every issue of Fate magazine, whose wonderful early pulp fiction covers and real-life stories has functioned since 1948 as a kind of Reader’s Digest of the American paranormal; Richard Haines, a long-time NASA scientist, aviation expert, and author of CE-5: Close Encounters of the Fifth Kind, with a very considerable trove of scientific research on UFO sightings; Larry Bryant, an employee of the Pentagon who spent much of his life collecting ufological materials and engaging in activist and legal work around the Freedom of Information Act and disclosure movement (Larry and his daughter sent us 102 boxes); and Stewart Alexander, a leading physical medium from the UK who has been working for over forty years and manifesting various extraordinary abilities and physical phenomena.

At present, we estimate that the total archival collection stands at somewhere well north of 100,000 items, and that this is probably much too modest of a figure. We are professionally archiving the material as fast as we can, with significant help from Ph.D. students and the professional staff of Woodson Research Center. When complete, these Archives of the Impossible will easily constitute one of the largest collections of its kind in the world and almost certainly the largest at an American research university. We look forward to the days when we can welcome researchers and students from around the world into these boxes, folders, and files. The truth may or may not be out there, as one popular American television series had it, but it is almost certainly in here, somewhere. Please come and help us find it.”

Anomaly Archives Needs A New Home

WE NEED A NEW HOME!

The Anomaly Archives Is Now Temporarily In-Storage

During the weekslong Streamathon Emergency Fundraiserour landlord informed us that they were not extending an invitation to renew our lease at our (then) current location. We had hoped to be able to stay at the current location for as long as possible, or at least another year. However, the landlord, itself a nonprofit, has also been hit hard by the pandemic and is having to make its own tough decisions and that has included not renewing leases when its tenants’ current lease terms expire; this includes another nonprofit that has been there for 20 years.

Three years ago, our current location was recommended to us by one of our email newsletter subscribers. We hope that perhaps one of you reading this now might have another good location opportunity you are aware of and that you will share it with us. We’d prefer something with its own entrance, with good parking, centrally located (but preferably in South or East Austin or south of Koenig Lane aka 2222), 800-1200 square feet for no more than about $800-$1,200 per month total. Even better are locations with utilities included in that pricing. If you have leads on good inexpensive location options for lease, please reach out to us via email at Contact@AnomalyArchives.org or leave the information in a voicemail at (512) 842-9046.

The Anomaly Archives is hosting a panel discussion on the life and work of this truly unique visual artist, playwright/poet, UFO experiencer / researcher and clairvoyant psychic who used the tapestry of her life as an experimental space in which to deepen her understanding of the process of contact with the uncanny. An accomplished artist and writer, her papers on the physics of synchronicity and other paranormal events were presented at academic conferences while she also had many articles published by UFO research organizations.

Her book “Congratulations! The UFO Reality”, written in the mid-1970’s, concentrated on the effects of these encounters on witnesses, an aspect of these events which in recent times is gaining more attention.

With panelists Dr. C.S. Matthews, author of “Mysterious Beauty: Living with the Paranormal in the Hudson Valley”; Ben Roylance, poet and EMS researcher, Stephanie Quick of the blog “Ghost Dog is a Mystery Box” and host SMiles Lewis, founder of Anomaly Archives.

City of Austin limits gatherings to 10 people due to coronavirus …

“AUSTIN, Texas — The City of Austin is now limiting gatherings to 10 people to prevent the spread of COVID-19, Mayor Steve Adler announced on Tuesday…”

Anomaly Archives Closed Until Further Notice

Greetings everyone.

As you can surmise, the current Covid-19 Coronavirus crisis has had a significant effect upon the Anomaly Archives, much as it has impacted so many aspects of society. Things have been moving so fast it has been difficult to keep up and keep all of our supporters updated. The Anomaly Archives has been closed to the public since the Mayor’s March 17th announcement limiting gatherings and urging everyone to follow CDC guidelines for the safety of everyone and to “flatten the curve.”

As is happening across our society right now, beyond the dangers posed to our health, the ripple effects of this crisis are impacting our livelihoods at the personal, business, and community levels. The economic impacts to all levels are devastating; but Humanity can prevail if we all pull together, do what’s right and needs to be done, and help each other through these trying times.

Unfortunately, the Anomaly Archives has been immediately financially impacted by this crisis and so we too are among those institutions needing to ask for help. In the coming days, weeks, and months, the Anomaly Archives will be launching renewed fundraising campaigns to try and help us weather this storm and build for a sustainable future. We realize that many of you are likely personally in a similar situation of need and so we of course only ask for help from those who have it to safely give.

We’ll have more news soon on how you can help. For now, remember you can help us by directly donating to us through PayPal and/or through selecting us as your charity of choice on Amazon.com and make your qualifying purchases through their Smile program portal – it costs you nothing and they donate to us.

“The “official” book about AFU – the world’s largest library & archive with a focus on UFOs and fortean phenomena – and whose files also include books, files, pictures and objects on hundreds of other paranormal and (more or less) unexplained themes. The book includes hundreds of samples from the archives and a general plea for international support for the arhcives continued work, and, at the end, a photo gallery of many of the hundreds of previous (and many on-going) donors to the archives.”

Four Volumes of Jacques Vallee’s Forbidden Science Journals

Greetings fellow Forteans, Anomalists, & UFOlks!

Book-of-the-Week

This issue of the newsletter features a Book-of-the-Week entry focused upon the latest installment of the personal journals of someone who is – by most UFOlks assessment – the world’s preeminent authority on the UFO phenomenon. In 1992, Jacques Vallee published the first volume of his personal journals covering 1957-1969. I remember my excitement upon first reading his deeply personal and amazingly historical chronicling of that early formative period of the “modern UFO era.” With each subsequent volume covering a decade’s time, I’d end up with copious notes for nearly every page of some bit of information I wanted to note and follow-up on later. This latest volume, number four covering the 1990s, is resulting in no less incidence of my note-taking and making my progress incredibly slow – as exciting as each volume always is. These journals have always helped clarify my understanding of Vallee’s pluralistic approach to exploring and potentially explaining the various phenomena surrounding the phenomenon. This period covering the 90s is particularly resonant with today’s current UFOlogical reprises that encompass such X-Files era favorites as billionaire Bob Bigelow’s NIDS organization (and what many call “NIDS 2.0” regarding the ongoing revelations about the AATIP Pentagon program and resulting “DeLongian” TTSA), Area-51 and Bob Lazar, Alien Autopsy footage, etc. In fact this fourth volume, covering as it does the decade of the 1990s, includes Vallee’s memories of getting feedback before and after the publishing of that first volume of his journals. If you’ve been following this newsletter closely you’ve already clicked through the links to articles citing Vallee’s journals and relating them to various recent events on those aforementioned subjects (Bigelow, Lazar, etc.).

The Anomaly Archives has acquired copies of all four volumes of Vallee’s Forbidden Science journals. We have copies of all four books in paperback version published by Anomalist Books. Years ago I donated my personal original edition hardcover copy of Volume One. My copies of Volumes Two and Three will be soon be donated. The Anomaly Archives also acquired an original hardcover edition of Volume Four, and it is an anomalous addition to the archives in that it does not have any printed spine information as it should. You can see from this photograph (right) that all other volumes have some sort of printed spine and when we inquired with other owners of this hardcover fourth volume edition, they asserted that there copies had a properly printed spine, like the rest of the volumes. We are pleased to have an anomalous copy of yet another fine book from one of Ufology’s most anomalous researcher. Why do I call him an “anomalous researcher”? Because most UFO lecturers claim to know that UFOs are ExtraTerrestrial craft but Vallee is more likely to say:

“I’m the only ufologist that doesn’t know what UFOs are.”

– Jacques Vallee on the Martin Willis Show – October 15th, 2019 (YouTube).

I first heard Vallee use that same basic line back in 1992 at the MUFON symposium in Albuquerque, NM. In his opening line (it is in the official printed proceedings) he said…

“I am quite happy to attend this conference but I am not quite sure why Walt Andrus invited me to speak to you: I may be the only person here who doesn’t know what UFOs are. Most ufologists know (or think they know) that UFOs are extraterrestrial vehicles, in other words, spacecraft from another planet.”

Anomalistic Headline News

As with each issue for the past 2 years… there are many (often contradictory and controversial) news articles about the ongoing media campaign of “NIDS 2.0” … DeLonge’s To The Stars Academy of … leveraging the Pentagon’s covert Black Budget intellectual property as multi-level multi-media marketing efforts. Or however you’d personally like to characterize this current UAP-Era.

Mandela-Effects

Miles’ Mandela-Moment:

“I remember the braces – they are the punchline to the scene” is how I and several of my deepest fan-boy friends have reacted to my introducing them to this memory-meme.

As much as I am a fan of PKD’s “revelation of the matrix” 1977 speech (RigorousIntuition Forums) most of the Mandela Effect examples leave me nodding my head saying, yep – memory is a tricky thing and most of these examples (especially the product logo/name ones) strike me as just plain old fallibility of memory as well as the social re-write nature of the “telephone game” in which stories are altered during the re-transmitting of the memes.

But there have been a couple that have stuck in my craw like this Moonraker Braces example as well as the “C-3PO had a silver leg in the original Star Wars” example! In both of those cases my fan-boy friends and I are left scratching our heads.

I too can imagine the dvd release including digitally modified elements (think of the CGI’d-out machine guns held by the Feds in Spielberg’s E.T.) … but, perhaps it really is just a trick of memory for the braces… my wife hadn’t seen Moonraker and when my friend and I watched the DVD blu-ray version (it’s what we had on hand) and went to that scene, my wife commented that perhaps the fact that Dolly was wearing glasses and pigtails was enough for most minds watching it at the time to imagine she had braces, like the overlay of a false “archetypal nerd image” on top of the perception. But that still does not sit well with me because I always remembered that (at least, in retrospect I believe I’ve always remembered it that way) as the POINT of the scene, especially with her SMILING to reveal her teeth AFTER the Jaws character reveals his mouthful of metal!

There have been some interesting storm and earthquake related news headlines of late in Texas or possibly related to the recent intense weather (or Fracking?) …

Book Of The Week

Forbidden Science – Volume Four:
Journals 1990-1999 – The Spring Hill Chronicles

by Jacques Vallee

Forbidden Science Volume Four

“A new book by Jacques Vallee is must reading for every serious student of UFOs and  paranormal phenomena and also – I would add – esotericist. His writings are always intellectually challenging with new data and inside views from the UFO research community. The Forbidden Science Journals are now into the fourth volume, covering the decade 1990- 1999, subtitled The Spring Hill Chronicles. The difference this time is that many diary entries deal with Vallee´s work as private investor and venture capitalist. Somewhat frustating to readers, like me, who is not fascinated by economy and high finance.”

SOURCE: Håkan Blomqvist´s Review

“Known principally as an investigator of the UFO phenomenon (Dimensions ) and a science fiction novelist, the French-born Vallee (now a resident of the U.S.) has also worked as a computer scientist in both academia and industry. Ufologists will not find the answers to all of their questions here, for although Vallee believes that UFOs exist, he has no idea just what they are. Therein lies the excellence of his dazzling diary: it offers a glimpse into the mind of a scientist who seems to challenge every preconception and established piety.”

SOURCE: Publishers Weekly

“With Jacques playing a central role in ufology since the 1960s, these books chart much of the history of ufology between 1960 and 1990 – anybody interested in the topic really should consider these required reading. So I was happy to find out that, while Jacques originally self-published Forbidden Science in a slightly expensive hardcover format, the good folks at Anomalist Books have recently re-released the three volumes in more affordable paperback editions:

Greetings fellow Forteans, Anomalists, & UFOlks!

Just a quick note to say I’ve been saddened this past week to discover the recent passing of Austin musical legend Daniel Johnston and seminal MKUltra mind control researcher H. P. Albarelli, Jr.

“Hank” Albarelli’s important book, A Terrible Mistake: The Murder of Frank Olson and the CIA’s Secret Cold War Experiments, has helped many people realize just how expansive and out-of-control MKUltra and its many sub-projects were, and how significantly they may have effected American society and our rule of law. My co-host, Mack White, and I interviewed him twice many years ago. He will be missed …

IONS AUSTIN CG AND INACS PRESENTS:

“SCIENCE WHISPERING SPIRIT”
with Gary G. Preuss, Ph.D.

SUNDAY – SEPTEMBER 15th

4-pm at 55 North I-35, Austin TX 78702 (MAP)
PLEASE RSVP VIA MEETUP.COM

For centuries, science dismissed the paranormal as coincidence without seriously looking at it. The materialist paradigm of science did not allow for the possibility of psychic abilities and the survival of consciousness after death. But a new period of scientific enlightenment is emerging. The forces of cosmology and physics indicate that the existence of our universe is all but impossible, yet we perceive it around us. Statistical research shows us that previously inexplicable phenomena are real and that what was viewed as the paranormal is actually normal. Out-of-body and transcendental near-death experiences are forcing science to reform its old notions about the brain and consciousness. Often taking root in quantum physics, there is now quiet, but increasingly pervasive, scientific evidence for what has been called spiritual.

Gary will expand and take a deep dive furthering his 2017 presentation made at INACS. If you are intrigued by the magic of psychic intuition and life after death and want to know what scientific research now says on the topic, here is a chance to explore how science and spirituality—once considered mutually exclusive—are beginning to say the same things with different vocabulary.

Plus Gary’s bonus report on this year’s International IONS Conference.
TIME and LOCATION for this event:

TIME: Sunday, 9/15/2019, at 4pm. DOORS OPEN: 3:30pm
LOCATION: 55 North I-35. Suite 260. Austin TX. 78702 (MAP)

PLEASE RSVP VIA MEETUP.COM

  • NOTE: Please arrive no later than 4pm as the building’s main door will be locked at 4:15pm.
  • COST: “Suggested” Donation $10. No one is turned away, regardless of donation amount. All are welcomed!

THE SPEAKER: Gary G. Preuss, Ph.D., is a scientific and spiritual visionary. Gary worked for thirty years as an economist and statistical analyst. He grew up on a farm outside El Campo, Texas, U.S.A., earned degrees from Rice University and Georgetown University, experienced a month of silence as a novice in the California Province of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits), and holds a doctorate in Parapsychic Science from the American Institute of Holistic Theology. Gary is owned by two dachshunds in Austin, Texas.

Book Of The Week

A Terrible Mistake:
The Murder of Frank Olson and the CIA’s Secret Cold War Experiments

by H. P. Albarelli

The answer to a mystery that has remained unsolved for more than 50 years

Following nearly a decade of research, this account solves the mysterious death of biochemist Frank Olson, revealing the identities of his murderers in shocking detail. It offers a unique and unprecedented look into the backgrounds of many former CIA, FBI, and Federal Narcotics Bureau officials—including several who actually oversaw the CIA’s mind-control programs from the 1950s to the 1970s. In retracing these programs, a frequently bizarre and always frightening world is introduced, colored and dominated by many factors—Cold War fears, the secret relationship between the nation’s drug enforcement agencies and the CIA, and the government’s close collaboration with the Mafia.

Greetings fellow Forteans, Anomalists, & UFOlks!

It’s a Bigfoot extravaganza this issue – having recently watched documentarian Seth Breedlove’s On the Trail of Bigfoot series and thoroughly enjoyed it, I’ve chosen to share one of the six episodes he’s shared for free via his YouTube channel. The episode in question is the one we’ve touched upon in past eNews installments where Seth and crew visited the Texas-based NAWAC (North American Wood Ape) group’s “Area-X” research site deep in the Ouachita Mountains in Southeastern Oklahoma. All of the episodes are excellent and I urge interested Anomalists to give them a try. I also highly recommend his other series – the ones I’ve watched and enjoyed include: The Flatwoods Monster: A Legacy of Fear (2018), Invasion on Chestnut Ridge (2017), The Mothman of Point Pleasant (2017), Casefiles (2017), and Minerva Monster (2015) – most of which are available on various streaming platforms.

Also in keeping with the Cryptozoological Extravaganza… for this week’s eNews Book-of-the-Week, I’ve chosen one of the bigger and deeper historical overviews of the 1970s era birth of modern Bigfoot research.

In other Bigfoot / Cryptozoology news…

“Brad Ginn and Madelyn Durand, a couple of Western Kentucky University students, said they were awakened in the middle of the night last weekend during a camping trip to Mammoth Cave by a gun-toting man hellbent on tracking down the legendary creature.”

Those last two stories of a couple’s strange experience while camping at Mammoth Cave reflect other recent darker headlines involving acts of gun violence committed by people with extreme “alternative” views of reality ranging from this Arizona case of a gun-wielding Bigfoot believer to a murder case in New York where lawyer’s say the shooter in the thrall of a conspiracy theory they call the “QAnon delusion“:

“A 24-year-old man who has been charged with shooting to death a reputed New York mob boss earlier this year thought he was under the influence of QAnon, pro-Trump Internet postings about the president supposedly battling a cabal of liberal elites, his lawyer wrote in a recent submission to New York state court.”

Of course these two incidents pale in comparison to the terrible tragedies in El Paso and Dayton. As I’ve mentioned before, I am a survivor of a 1979 mass-shooting / sniper event at San Antonio’s 1979 Fiesta “Battle of the Flowers” Parade. I’ve followed the transformation of the high school suicide cluster phenomenon and workplace rampage shootings of the 1980s and 90s as they’ve morphed into the surreal “Mass-Shooter Mayhem” / “Amok America” time we are living through now. I’ve reported on far too many of these incidents over the past twelve years on my PsiOp-Radio show. As much as I wish for us to find a solution to end these atrocities and as sickened as it makes me to research the topic, I find myself continuing to research the issue and revisit past attacks. To that end, I’ve been watching the Showtime TV series, Active Shooter: America Under Fire. It is a very powerful documentary series that focuses on the events themselves as told through the stories of survivors and emergency responders. Anyway – be careful out there; look out for each other and take care of one another…

. . .

Meanwhile, the UFO circus continues with reviews of the recent MUFON 50th Anniversary Symposium, continued critical analysis of the state of verified information about Tom DeLonge’s To The Stars Academy and the military UFO work of Luis Elizondo, reflection on the life and work of Mario Pazzaglini, deep-state / parapolitical audio interview with ARG (Alternate/Augmented Reality Games) pioneer Joseph Matheny on transmedia storytelling and the FBI’s recent warning against QAnon conspiracy theories as potential Domestic Terror Threat, and many other weird news stories for you to read.

Finally, we pay our respects to recently passed paranormal researcher Rosemary Ellen Guiley:

“She authored and compiled nearly 65 books, including books in the “Fate Presents” series, which included her newest title, Planet Bigfoot (2019).”

FLASHBACKS: Anomaly Archives eNews issues circa 2016 & 2017

Cargo-Culture:

Anomaly Archives board member, Jeremy Wells, is a journalist writing for the Grayson Journal-Enquirer in Grayson, Kentucky. One of his latest articles can be found in the Spring 2019 edition of the Olive Hill Quarterly. It’s about Seth Breedlove’s latest project from his Small Town Monsters productions (YouTube channel), called On the Trail of Bigfoot. The article, Exploring Reports From The Pacific Northwest To The TriState, can be read online (pages 14-19). If you are truly deeply interested in the subject of CryptoZoology and Bigfoot in America, we highly recommend Jeremy’s more in-depth interview with Seth Breedlove available on YouTube, which we feature as our Cargo-Culture feature for this installment of the Anomaly Archives newsletter, below.

All of this Bigfootery reminds us of the excellent presentation that Jeremy gave to our Anomaly Archives audience back a couple of years ago … this flashback below also features links to the SasWhat podcast episode from two years ago in which a different Seth talks with Texas based bigfoot research org memebers from NAWAC about the infamous Area-X that Jeremy talks about with Seth (Breedlove) in our Cargo Culture feature video…

FLASHBACK March 2016: Bigfoot reports & southern habitats . . .

Talking “On The Trail Of Bigfoot” with Seth Breedlove

“Journalist Jeremy D. Wells discusses the new “On the Trail of Bigfoot” mini-series, from Small Town Monsters, with writer and producer Seth Breedlove.

NOTES: I mistakenly say Daryl Colyer had his first Bigfoot sighting along the Pedernales River. Colyer has confirmed that it was actually along the Trinity River where a large, red (the color of dead pine needles), hair-covered creature crossed the path in front of him. This interview was initially the basis for a magazine article and review of the “On the Trail of Bigfoot” series. Though there are things in the audio that Breedlove asked me not to focus on in that story, or to keep “off the record”, he has given his permission to use the complete, unedited audio of our interview.”
