Anomaly Archives Launches Academy, “It’s Probably Nothing” Tour Kicks Off, and Ethical Reckoning in Fringe Science

# Show Notes

Recovering from illness, Miles Lewis brings listeners up to speed on what’s happening with Anomaly Archives and the wider UFO community. The Anomaly Academy’s monthly lecture series continues with para-anthropologist Jack Hunter exploring non-human consciousness (something that’s becoming increasingly relevant in these circles). Over one thousand people packed Austin’s Paramount Theater for Jesse Michaels and Chris Ramsey’s “It’s Probably Nothing” tour, where a local witness described their close encounter with a silent, buzzing craft on South Congress.

The recent Epstein file releases have created an ethical crisis in paranormal research. Only about 2% of the alleged millions of pages are public, but searchable databases like epstein-file-explorer.com reveal troubling connections between prominent figures in fringe science and convicted criminals. How should the UFO community respond to these revelations? Kimberly Ingalls’s essay offers a thoughtful examination of moral accountability that’s worth reading.

Meanwhile, former President Obama clarified his position on extraterrestrial contact, stating that vast distances make visitation unlikely and he saw no evidence during his presidency. The speaker agrees with this assessment while suggesting classified information may exist beyond what’s publicly known.

**New educational opportunities** are emerging in UAP research, including courses from Massimo Teodorani on investigative methodology and Dr. Michael Masters teaching UFO studies at a Montana college.

Tune in for the full discussion of these developing stories.

  • **Fringe science communities face ethical accountability**: The paranormal field is grappling with serious moral responsibility after prominent figures were connected to the Epstein files, forcing the community to address troubling associations rather than dismiss them.
  • **Mainstream credibility is increasing for UAP research**: Educational opportunities in UAP investigation are expanding even as establishment figures like President Obama remain skeptical, suggesting the field is legitimizing itself through institutional channels.
  • **Live podcast formats are driving massive grassroots engagement**: The “It’s Probably Nothing” tour drew over 1,000 attendees in a single city, indicating that interactive, conversational formats resonate far more strongly with audiences than traditional documentary screenings.

Miles Lewis, host of Anomaly Now, returns from illness to announce upcoming events and initiatives for the Anomaly Archives nonprofit. He highlights the Anomaly Academy’s monthly lecture series, featuring para-anthropologist Jack Hunter discussing non-human consciousness and the paranormal. Miles encourages listeners to explore the website at anomalyarchives.org, follow their extensive article feed on Flipboard, and attend upcoming tabling events at the Strange and Extraordinary Fest in March and the Austin Archives Bazaar in April. He also mentions the Area 512 UFO meetup group for local enthusiasts interested in unexplained aerial phenomena. Jesse Michaels and Chris Ramsey, hosts of the American Alchemy and Area 52 podcasts respectively, launched their “It’s Probably Nothing” tour with stops in Austin and Montreal. The first event at Austin’s Paramount Theater drew over one thousand attendees for a live podcast-style interview featuring a local witness who experienced a close encounter with a silent, buzzing craft on South Congress. Attendees received commemorative coins and file folders containing UFO case debunkings, while the show concluded with a premiere of a new UFO documentary trailer, with phones locked during the screening. The speaker attended a screening of Bob Lazar’s documentary where he appeared alongside director Jeremy Corbell and UFO researcher UFO Gerb. Though the audience was enthusiastic, Lazar remained characteristically reserved and offered little new information, stating he hasn’t followed UFO developments and his story remains unchanged after forty years. The most compelling aspect was how accurately the documentary reproduces his claimed experiences in minute detail. The panel discussion proved lively and engaging, with audience questions generating interesting conversations about UFO reporting and coverage, despite not directly answering all queries posed. The speaker discusses the recent release of Epstein files and their implications for the alternative health, paranormal, and UFO research communities. While only about 2% of the alleged millions of pages have been publicly released, searchable databases like epstein-file-explorer.com reveal disturbing connections between prominent figures in fringe science and a convicted sex offender. The speaker emphasizes the ethical crisis this represents, particularly endorsing UFO researcher Kimberly Ingalls’s thoughtful essay examining how the paranormal community must reckon with moral accountability and ethical responsibility in light of these revelations. The speaker explores disturbing connections between the Epstein case, conspiracy theories like QAnon, and the UFO community. He discusses allegations linking individuals in the UFO scene to the Epstein files, and presents claims from whistleblowers like Jake Barber and others about reverse-engineered spacecraft allegedly involved in human trafficking, including children. The speaker also references historical government experiments on indigenous children in Canada, highlighting overlapping patterns of exploitation across classified programs. He emphasizes the complexity of these interconnected issues while acknowledging the need for further investigation and rigorous research in this area. The speaker highlights upcoming educational opportunities in UAP research, including specialized courses featuring experts like Massimo Teodorani on investigative methodology and Kimberly Ingalls on experiencer testimony. He addresses former President Obama’s recent comments about extraterrestrial contact, noting Obama’s clarification that despite the statistical probability of life in the universe, vast distances make visitation unlikely and he saw no evidence during his presidency. The speaker agrees with Obama’s assessment while suggesting classified information may exist. Additionally, he mentions a new UFO course being offered at a Montana college by Dr. Michael Masters, emphasizing the growing educational focus in UFO research.

TRANSCRIPT

Hello, and welcome to another edition of Anomaly Now, straight out of Austin, Texas. I’m your host, Miles Lewis. It is Wednesday, February 18th, 2026. Thank you for joining us, whether you’re listening live or Memorex. Tune in, turn on, freak out! It’s been over a week since we did a show, been out sick, and you can probably tell by the sound of my voice that I’m still getting over it. But, hey! That’s life, ain’t it? You can find out more about our 501c3 Nonprofit Scientific Anomaly Institute over at the website anomalyarchives .org.

There’s links to phone numbers, emails, PO boxes. You can contact us, reach out, click the like and subscribe, the notification bell, all that good stuff if you’re on the YouTubes. If you’re listening to this audio version, just know that there is a video component. But if you don’t want to… you can just continue to listen to the audio version over at the website anomalyarchives .org. There are episode webpages with all the show notes for every single episode of Anomaly Now going all the way back to the year 2020. Yes, we’ve been doing this show for six years, really only five because we took 2022 off. All right, this is going to have to be a short episode, but just wanted to… Let folks know that you can go to the website anomalyarchives .org slash events and look for the information on Anomaly Academy monthly lecture series. We just featured Susan Demeter last month, and this month we’ve got Jack Hunter. He’s going to present on Of Minds and Monsters, An Exploration of Non -Human Consciousness and the Paranormal. I highly encourage you to sign up over at patreon .com slash anomalyarchives. Jack Hunter is a very interesting new voice in the world of para -anthropology. He is approaching the paranormal and spirituality, spiritualism, all the various aspects of anomalous human experiences through various lenses associated with anthropology. And we are very much looking forward to hearing what he has to say about the subject of… minds and monsters. And you can, of course, go to our Flipboard, flipboard .com slash at anomaly archives and click through to the ever lengthening feed wall of articles that we have linked to. There’s a ton of stuff. I also want to make you aware that coming up, of course, next week, I don’t have this information ready, but you can go to meetup .com and look for area 512. That is my good friend David’s meetup group where we local UFO folks have been gathering and talking about all things UFO, UAP that we find in our daily searches for what the heck is going on. But a couple of other outreach events that are coming up. The Anomaly Archives will be tabling at the upcoming Strange and Extraordinary Fest. having a vendor room that they’re calling their Bazaar Bazaar. And we shall be tabling there. That’s Saturday, March 28th at the KMFA Studios, just north of the river, just east of Interstate 35. Highly recommend you check them out. You can go and find out more about them at strangeandextraordinaryfest .com. And then coming up in April is the biannual Austin Archives Bazaar. We’ve been going to this since it first launched, I think, in 2018. Maybe they did an earlier one, but we love tabling there. There’s so many other wonderful Texas -based archives there. We definitely are the most bizarre there at their bazaar, but you’ll be surprised there are some other bizarre archives that table at these events. And it’s just, you know… People who work in libraries and archives are wonderful people who just want to help you find the information you’re looking for. So highly recommend you check that out as well. So go to anomalyarchives .org slash outreach and you can find the links to that strange and extraordinaryfest .com and austinarchivesbizarre .org. Well, so we recently had the pleasure that friend who hosts the Area 512 meetup, my good friend David, invited me along to a very fun event that happened here in Austin. There’s a new event, new tour that’s going on. Maybe it started with just two tour dates, so who knows how far or why they’ll expand, but the first one was in Austin, Texas. The next one’s in Montreal, Canada. That is because the two hosts, Jesse Michaels and Chris Ramsey, are based in those locations. Jesse Michaels of American Alchemy, who we’ve mentioned many times for various reasons because of his very interesting and always entertaining and very sometimes educational podcast, American Alchemy, whatever criticisms I might level at it, I do find a lot of very interesting information on his show. And Chris Ramsey, the stage magician turned UFO podcaster with his. area 52 podcast they have partnered up and launched this it’s probably nothing tour the first one again having happened here in austin and a fine time was had by all this was the scene at the paramount where they had the marquee made up for the show and over at Once inside, that was one of the things. My good friend David was nice enough to spring for the meet and greet where the special access. And yes, indeed, we got to meet Chris Ramsey there. You’ll see on the left and Jesse Michaels there on the right. They were both very nice. They were cycling folks through lots. It’s kind of funny to meet. You pay to get premium access, and you’re basically paying to wait in line for a long time. But it was worth it. It was nice to meet them. They were very friendly and cordial. Let’s see. They also gave us… They gave each of us a special file folder stamp with the It’s Probably Nothing logo, and inside was a printout to accompany some photographs. One of the photographs being a… famous or infamous UFO or alien case, and the printout being an explication of it, often a debunking of it. We looked at other people, other attendees, file folder, paperwork. It was a cute little gimmick. They also were giving out what they were calling these challenge coins, which were these very heavy metal stamped commemorative coins for this event, this tour. That’s pretty cool. Don’t have a picture ready of those right now. But then later at the end of the show, they took a big group photo of the approximately 1 ,000 plus people. I don’t really, I forget how many the Paramount holds, but it seemed like it was a full house. David and I were both pretty shocked at just how many people came out, how many people there were here in Austin. I mean, maybe people came from out of town. I don’t know. But it was a very fun event. It was basically just… a live version of their podcast where they interviewed each other. They had a special guest who was a local Austinite who had a recent UFO sighting in the last few years, right, right nearby on South Congress, just South of the river, just South of downtown where we were a very interesting sighting description, pretty close encounter whereby he described walking his dog and witnessing way at first he took to be a a black tent on top of a building which suddenly rose up and started moving and then was coming towards them and he realized there were lights underneath it and it was silent well not silent excuse me it was it was buzzing in a kind of throbbing way and he became very very frightened of course did not take any pictures but he’s an artist and was able to do some drawings of it which they did show at least holding them up we couldn’t We were close enough that you could see them. As you can see here, we were in about the second row off to one side. A note here also, Jeremy Corbell was in the audience. At some point, I turned to my right and saw Jeremy Corbell standing right nearby, coming in one of the side exits of the front rows of the Paramount Theater towards the stage. And I thought, oh, maybe he’s going to be one of these special guests. But as it turned out… He was just an attendee, which turned out to kind of be interesting and ironic, perhaps, in that the other special guests, and the reason they had us all lock up our phones, was they showed a premiere of a trailer for a new UFO documentary called S4, The Bob Lazar Story, at least I think that’s what it’s titled. And the director, film creator, and came out along with, you guessed it, Bob Lazar, the house went crazy. I, I was, it was, it was rather interesting just how excited the audience got. Obviously, you know, as an old school UFO fan boy, I, I, I, I was tickled pink and he seemed like he always does low key, not that talkative and seemed like just, I mean, from that limited expression. Seems like a nice guy, but the preview for the documentary is very interesting. I must say, I’m just not that interested, and it didn’t look that interesting to me, but they went on and on and on about, and about the only thing that Lazar actually said. He really didn’t bring anything new to the discussion, which was a little awkward, but at the same time, he just straight up says, I don’t follow this stuff anymore. I hear the same stuff you do, but I have no new insights. You know, my story is my story. I’ve told it for 40 years. You know, it’s not changed much. And the most amazing thing, he says, is that this documentary so well reproduces his experiences as he claims them. And down to the minute details. And that’s that is cool. I, you know, I’m happy for him. And it was also amazing how many ladies were calling out at Bob. We love you, Bob.

It was pretty crazy. And I forget at some point, I think it was Chris Ramsey. It was some said, keep your shirt on, lady.

Other guests included UFO Gerb, G -E -R -B. I’m not that familiar with his material, but he is another one of these new young guns who everybody raves about. He has a YouTube channel. You can check that out. But that was pretty much the extent of it. And while that doesn’t seem like a lot, it went on a good length of time. And I really enjoyed just hearing them talk and asking each other questions. And they asked questions from the audience. And in fact, somehow our row that we were on was hot. like two or three, I think three questions that turned out to be all from our row. It didn’t take my question, which more or less amounted to, can you expound upon the influence of billionaires on the UFO community? Wink, wink, nudge, nudge. And, but they did ask my friend David’s question, which was basically, I think I, I, I had him repeat it to me, but I’m sorry, David, I left. I don’t have it with me right now, but basically, It amounted to what aspect of reporting on UFOs do you think doesn’t get enough coverage and how have your views changed? I think that’s what it was. Honestly, we both were kind of like, they didn’t really answer the question, but I don’t know. All the questions and discussion, it did result in a very lively and interesting conversation that I think gave us more insights into… These two people and also UFO Gerb. And so that was it. Anyway, hopefully there’ll be some more footage coming out of that. And we’ll see. We’ll see what else. All right. Meanwhile, back to it. Oh, yeah. Well, I also wanted to just mention that I also ran into our good friends Ben and Joe from UFO Garage podcast. They were in attendance. It was great to see them in person. Again, it’s been, gosh, I haven’t seen them in person since I first met them back in February 2020 when they went through the archives and did that great tour video. If you’ve never, there’s a great tour video. If you go to the Anomaly Archives website, on the sidebar is a link to the tour video. It’s short and sweet, and I’m very thankful that they came by and were so supportive, and they have been so supportive. Thank you, Ben and Joe, for all your support of the Anomaly Archives. You’ve had me on the show several times. And most significantly, you and your audience raised money at our most time of need several years ago. And we greatly appreciate that.

time of need several years ago. And we greatly appreciate that. And folks should check out their documentary Experiencer. You can find out all about all their stuff at UFOGaragePodcast .com. But yeah, they did a new episode. It’s about an hour and a half called Our Experience at It’s Probably Nothing, plus UFO science and spirituality. Always entertaining. And they really, you know, besides telling you more or less what I’ve said and their own remembrances about the It’s Probably Nothing show, they have an interesting discussion amongst themselves that goes into that spirituality realm. They really kind of discuss how their views have changed a little over time, and I found that very interesting. Now, briefly, I’m not going to go too far into this, but yes, we have a page.

a page. Excuse me.

We do have a page for Jeffrey Epstein and Jelaine Maxwell over at the Anomaly Archives website.

and Jelaine Maxwell over at the Anomaly Archives website. As you undoubtedly know, unless you’ve been living under a rock. The Epstein files have finally been released. All of them, quote unquote, allegedly. This is not true. Mainstream, reliable news sources are reporting that approximately 2 % have been released. But what has been released is, I believe, millions of pages. And this is nothing to dive into lightly. And I’m only bringing it up really because folks who are examining the files, there is a website called epstein -file -explorer .com, which is a very useful way to explore these files. As you can see here, it says that there are nearly… 2 .6 million pages of documents over 5 ,000 people named individuals. And it is the case where you can basically go in and search for anything, anybody, and unfortunately, you will probably find them. Now, obviously, so for instance, in the case of… Let me bring that up again.

that up again. It’s not going to do it in the, there’s this other, it’s called Gmail world, Gmail dot world. It’s not Gmail, excuse me, J for Jeffrey, Gmail dot world. And this is basically a virtual email inbox for the Jeffrey Epstein files that were email files. And this is another thing that you can search. And I’m folks. You have undoubtedly already heard about the fallout.

Royalty, corporate CEOs, news people are all being affected by this. Many of them having to step down, sell their companies, go into hiding. This is the kind of thing that we’ve always expected. Anybody who’s followed this subject has always expected. Again, this is just the tip of the iceberg. While the administration tells us that there is nothing more to see here, that they have released all that they are going to release, even though, as we say, it’s approximately 2 % of what they have. There’s just so much here. Now, how does this relate to the anomalous? Well, as you explore the files and the emails, what you discover is that…

that quite a few people who have been part of the quote -unquote alternative health or the paranormal or the fringe science or the UFO scene or the parapsychology scene,

few people who have been part of the quote -unquote alternative health or the paranormal or the fringe science or the UFO scene or the parapsychology scene, the New Age scene, have been in correspondence with Jeffrey Epstein, even after he was a convicted sex offender. And even after the rumors which had pouted him for a long time were well known. And that is what is so disturbing. And without, again, going into all the names, you will probably be shocked. And it is incredibly disappointing to see this. There are people named people who have obviously interacted with him after he was convicted, that it’s very troubling. And I would direct people to one UFO researcher’s attempt at grappling with this. Kimberly Ingalls is somebody whose work in this field I’ve only recently become aware of in the last two or so years, mainly through her. presentations, I think initially through her presentation at the Rice University Archives of the Impossible conference, she had said on Facebook that she was going to try to put her feelings into words and her thoughts into words,

had said on Facebook that she was going to try to put her feelings into words and her thoughts into words, and she has done so. And I’d encourage you to go read that at her sub stack. It’s titled, If UFOs are real, then so must be our ethics, accountability, and embodiment. in moments of moral failure. And it’s not that long of a read. I will just say, I very much endorse and encourage people to think about this and to think about what she has to say here.

to think about what she has to say here.

Yeah. I, let me also just say, I guess I,

I, so. So again, at the heart of the Epstein debauchery is the predation on and sexual abuse of children, particularly young ladies,

ladies, young girls, girls, children.

What I find strangely paralleled in this. As not being a stranger to conspiracy culture, I am well aware of the overlap with the Jeffrey Epstein case with the quote -unquote Pizzagate that led to QAnon and all the crazy rumors of elites doing horrible things,

things, inducing trauma. And reveling in it, basically. What’s strange to me is the weird overlap with the UFO scene. So among the people whose name you’ll find in the Epstein files is somebody associated with the Skywatcher program.

people whose name you’ll find in the Epstein files is somebody associated with the Skywatcher program.

Program that employs alleged former legacy program employees, Jake Barber, who have claimed that they used to work in the black world to plug leaks of the legacy program and that they have.

become on the good side and are now working with this corporation to use technology as a dog whistle to call in UFOs and document them and ultimately to get one landed and to capture it. Now, what’s really interesting to me is the connections between Jake Barber and another whistleblower, alleged whistleblower, who he claims He went and saw Speak and I think is how he met Stephen Greer. And it’s somebody in Greer’s circle and I think also Jake Barber who claimed that what this other Herrera is the last name of the whistleblower I’m talking about,

somebody in Greer’s circle and I think also Jake Barber who claimed that what this other Herrera is the last name of the whistleblower I’m talking about, I believe. Herrera talked about doing a special op in a South or Central American country or island. where he says he and others witnessed a landed UFO, an octagonal UFO, which was having pods loaded onto it and took off and was guarded by hardcore military security that threatened them with death. And he was given the impression, and it’s been suggested, I believe, by Jake Barber and others, that what they were transporting, in that reverse -engineered human flying saucer. It was a case of human trafficking, that these were people, and I believe it’s been suggested that they were children. And this leads into this whole idea of all these different secret programs that have been done, all these research projects and recruitment projects that have been done by our government and others to find… special children with psi abilities. So this just gets into some very weird overlap and connections. And I’m just going to leave it there because I don’t have that much energy or the brain power at the moment to go into all of that. But you can see why this is a deep, dark rabbit hole that I don’t want to spend much time going down at the moment. But it reminds me of this other thing I just saw over at thedebrief .org. Chrissy Newton has done an interview with a researcher, and she’s accompanied it with this article. A forgotten ESP study from 1943 is raising new questions about experiments on Canada’s indigenous children. Yeah.

This is, again, not the kind of thing that I’m completely unaware of, but there’s so much work. So many things that have yet to be uncovered. So much work that remains to be done. And this researcher, I’m going to mispronounce his name, Mayangan Linklater, a researcher and Anishinaabe member from the Laksil First Nation, an Ojibwe First Nation band government located in Ontario. He’s the person that she interviews. He’s the one doing the research. There is a link there to the YouTube video, Human Testing Government Programs and Unverified Claims. Yeah.

Moving right along as we hopefully home in on an end to this very brief episode of Anomaly Now. Over at Society for UAP Studies, they have a page for their new UAP Studies Seminar Series, Foundations of a New Field. Advancing a Rigorous Academic Framework for UAP Research. This is launching this month, tomorrow on February 19th. You can find more there about… Let’s see if I can… Oops. Now I’m… Oh,

there we go. Yeah, so the first class course is with Steve Fuller. Launches tomorrow. Why UAPs are intrinsically good. to think about and with regular and with regardless of their ultimate reality. Rich Hoffman is presenting on March 5th toward a coordinated cooperative global instrumented study of UAP. Of course, he’s with the SCU Society, the Coalition for UAP Studies. And then March 19th is Massimo Teodorani, instrumented physical investigation of UAP methodology. Methodologies for Discriminating Between Engineered Craft and Plasma Phenomena. Fascinating. And as previously alluded to, Kimberly Ingalls, April 30th, presenting Resisting Narrative Flattening, Epistemic Justice for Experiencer Testimony. So these look like they’re going to be some great courses. I do not believe they are free, but, you know, if you want to support the SUAPS, the Society for UAP Studies. or you’re just really interested in these presentations, highly encourage you to go check that out. All right. And so the other big news, such as it is, was this interview by Brian Tyler Cohen of former President Obama.

I think they did. Now, unsurprisingly, Obama has walked this back. ABCnews .com reported, and I think it was my friend David, sent me a screenshot. Obama shuts down Alien Buzz and says, there’s no evidence they’ve made contact. And yes, he quote, Obama says, quote, I was trying to stick with the spirit of the speed round, but since it’s gotten attention, let me clarify. Statistically, the universe is so vast that the odds are good there’s life out there. But the distances between solar systems are so great that the chances we’ve been visited by aliens is low. And I saw no evidence during my presidency that extraterrestrials have made contact with us. Really?

Well, as I said, surprise, surprise, our most… eloquent and well -spoken president in my lifetime, regardless of what you feel about him, I think that is a truism, wanted to clarify his words as he saw them being taken up by people to reinforce their own narratives. I certainly would love, I love that he said yes, but I agree with his last statement. Unless there’s a cover -up, he was not made aware of them, and I think that is, in fact, likely. It doesn’t mean I believe in all the cover -up conspiracies, but that is my suggestion. Last but not least, just keeping with the educational aspects of UFO work over coast -to -coast, is Tim Banal reporting on a video that’s from a Montana news station, new UFO course offered at a Montana college. Of course, this is, I believe, being put on by… Oh gosh, now I’m… Mr. Masters, Professor Masters. I forget. Oh, Michael. Dr. Michael Masters, who we’ve got a lot of links to in the flip board of late. So yeah, check that out. And that is going to do it, folks. I need to keep this short. Really appreciate you all. And I hope that you’ll like and subscribe, hit the notification bell, all the good stuff. And join us online. Join our Patreon for free or donate money to us. We could really use the help. Take care, stay safe, and be well. Good night.
