“I’m Emily — an independent documentary filmmaker/video essayist and researcher focusing on the covergence of new age spirituality, UFOlogy and far-right ideology. I’m interested in the communities that form around “fringe” beliefs, and how they’re often exploited by bad actors. I try to be skeptical but empathetic — it’s a balancing act and sometimes I don’t get it completely right, but I’m trying! I was a consulting producer on the HBO/Elara Pictures docuseries Love Has Won : The Cult of Mother God.
