911 Anniversary Special from the Audio Archives: 2008 Interview with Len Bracken

Greetings everyone. This is Anomaly Archives founder, SMiles Lewis.

Here we are, a quarter century after the devastating 911 attacks of 2001. Once a year those of us who were alive and aware at the time often reflect on the long strange journey our country and the world have travelled in the wake of the events of that day.

Many of you are aware of my having to cancel NUFOC 38, the 38th annual National UFO Conference that I had organized and was to host at the original Alamo Drafthouse cinema location that weekend of September 14th through 16th. However, with most flights cancelled that week, I had to cancel the event.

Within a year of that terrible attack on America, a friend and I would found APT: Austin-Para-Times, a paranormal and parapolitical newsprint magazine. My editorial for the second issue featured a description of a drone sighting* I’d had and then a rant about 911 conspiracy theories as well as parapsychological data and precognitive dreams associated with the attacks. Sometime in late 2005 or early 2006 I would create an audio version of that editorial for episodes of a 911-Podcast and a DreamPodcast that I launched. A few years later that audio would be played by a radio host on Austin’s KOOP 91.7 fm station. Then a few more years later, I created a video version for an informal 2015 lecture titled, “SynchroMystic-911: Deep ParaPolitics & Esoteric-Occult High-Strangeness Surrounding September 11th’ A Post-Modern Audio/Video Exploration of Pop-Culture, Through A Jungian-Synchronicity-Lens … Darkly.” You can watch that video here and read the second half of that editorial here.

Over the years I hosted or was a guest on various terrestrial and internet radio shows talking about the events of September 11th, 2001 (see an incomplete list below). From appearances on Robert Larson’s Cartoon Pleroma and Out the Rabbit Hole shows to hosting parapolitical discussions on my Anomaly Radio LIVE and Blue Rose Report shows as well as co-hosting PsiOp-Radio with Mack White and co-hosting Austin News & Views with Thom White – founder and publisher of CITIZINE magazine. More recently, I spoke about my deep feelings surrounding the events of 911 and other sadness inducing memories I now associate with August and September ever since 2021 during broadcasts of Anomaly-NOW in 2023 and 2024.
