Anomaly Archives Announcement – May 23, 2025

Coming Up For This Month’s Anomaly-Academy Patron Presentation…

Adam Gorightly Presents…

“The Bob Beck Collection: Space Age Photos From The Past!”

Sunday, May 25th, 2025 at 5pm Central / 3pm Pacific

“What initially inspired myself and collaborator Greg Bishop to co-author A is for Adamski: The Golden Age of the UFO Contactees was the discovery of The Beck Collection, a series of photos taken by a fellow (you guessed it) named Bob Beck.

In 1948, Robert “Bob” Beck (1925-2002), started a photographic-audiovisual firm, Color Control Color Laboratories Company, that designed special lighting techniques for a number of MGM productions like An American in Paris and Show Boat. In the 1960s, Beck was responsible for the groundbreaking special effects featured in Roger Corman’s psychedelic epic The Trip.

Somewhere along the way, Beck befriended George Van Tassel, attending several Giant Rock Interplanetary Spacecraft Conventions where he photographed the UFO contactees in attendance, many of these photos which appear exclusively in A is for Adamski. Van Tassel’s work in “cellular rejuvenation” dovetailed with similar interests shared by Beck related to alternative health cures produced by electromagnetism. To this end, Beck was involved—at least in an advisory capacity—with the construction of Van Tassel’s Integratron.”

Michael M. Hughes Presents… “The Truth About Witchcraft”

Saturday, April 26th, 2025 at 6pm CDT / 7pm EDT

For Patreon Members of the Anomaly Academy Cadet tier or higher!

Michael will delve deep into the dark myths and surprising realities of witchcraft, from legends of the ancient era to today’s world of Instagram and TikTok witches.

The talk will cover:

  • Where did witchcraft originate?
  • Who were the people tortured, hanged, and burned at the stake as witches, and what did they actually believe?
  • Is witchcraft demonic?
  • Is witchcraft the remnant of an ancient goddess cult?
  • When did “modern” witchcraft originate, and how did it spread?
  • What do today’s witches believe, what exactly do they do, and why has witchcraft exploded in popularity in recent years?
  • Why do witches believe in magic, and do you have to be a witch to do magic?

This fun, fact-based and wide-ranging talk will challenge what you think you know about the endlessly fascinating subject of witches and their craft.

New Anomaly Academy Monthly Lecture Series

Colorful Patreon LogoGreetings from Anomaly Archives founder, SMiles Lewis. Thank you for your past and continued support of our nonprofit charitable community goals and mission. The Anomaly Archives is launching a new Patreon-based community building and fundraising program and we need your support. One of the Anomaly Archives’ longtime original goals since its founding in 2003 has been to establish a distance learning academy focused on the many anomalous fields of inquiry orbiting the worlds of UFOs and the paranormal. In the coming year, we plan on expanding our community programming to include online classes as part of a distance-learning Anomaly-Academy / UFO-University / Visible-College curriculum.

Beginning this month – Saturday, June 29th, 2024 – we are launching a new Anomaly Academy Monthly Lecture Series. Each month we’ll be hosting a fascinating presentation from fellow Anomalists and Fortean Seekers. Each month’s presentation becomes part of a growing back-catalog of content available to our community of Patreon members.

We are asking that you consider becoming a Patreon member today and we recommend the Anomaly Academy Cadet monthly supporter level for $10 a month. That monthly donation gets you access to each month’s new live online lecture presentation and to the archive of past presentations that this monthly schedule will generate over time.

Our first three scheduled presentations include Brent Raynes, Professor WHAM, and Joshua Cutchin!

There are other membership levels you can subscribe to at the monthly rates of $1, $2, or $5. All levels of support help us fulfill our nonprofit mission and goals, however, the $10 a month level gets you access to the monthly lecture presentation and past presentations. Future benefits are planned ranging from early access to Anomaly-Roundtable panel discussions, patron-only content, deep-dive interviews, online classes and more!

Thank you for your commitment to furthering the Anomaly Archives’ mission of preservation of anomalous materials and public education about those collections.

We look forward to seeing you at each month’s lecture presentation.
