Miles served as facilitator for Austin’s UFO Experiencer Support Group for nearly ten years and has spoken to local and national radio / TV / print media. In 1995 he spoke at the national Society for the Anthropology of Consciousness conference on the subject of UFOs as a transformative paradigm. His interests in both the physical and folkloric research of parapsychology and ufology have led to his collecting and archiving of over 3000 books on these and other topics relevant to consciousness research and the founding of the Anomaly Archives, lending library of the Scientific Anomaly Institute.”
Nikita Kranda – ” I Saw Something Weird: A conversation about regular people experiencing something they couldn’t explain”
“NK Kranda is a southern California native now living in Texas. She went to school for Horticulture Sciences and graduated with highest honors. She then continued her education in the fields of psychology, PTSD and trauma therapies, art, biology, psychics, history, and shamanism. She currently works in experiencer research and preservation and has the honor of interviewing some of the most incredible people the field has to offer. Her interest in contactees and experiencers began when she volunteered as a MUFON chapter secretary in San Antonio. After writing way too many reports, she found her true interests were in the people that quietly came to meetings to tell an incredible story. She taught them to fight stigma, to never stop telling their story, and to honor themselves because they survived.”
Susan Lepselter – “Dreaming Across Cultures”
“Susan Lepselter is an Associate Professor of Anthropology. Her research explores the poetics of both popular media and everyday life in contemporary American culture, focusing particularly on captivity narratives, themes of gender and class, and discourses of memory and trauma in American social life.”

IMAGINATRIX: The Terence McKenna Experience (2014) 69min

Ed Hall – Classic Videos
“If Music Had a Louvre, Austin’s Ed Hall would be Hung” – Phoenix New Times
“Ed Hall (from Austin, Texas) were perhaps the greatest disciple of the Butthole Surfers during the grunge era. If it was possible, Ed Hall even increased the psychedelic quotient and the volume and speed along with it. The result was one of the most comically catastrophic sounds of the era. In reality, when you read between the lines, you read a serious apocalyptic (or at least depressed) attitude, in line with nihilistic spirit that was a large part of hard-core rock. The music of Ed Hall, at its most basic, was grim expressionism updated to greet the post-nuclear society.” – (Translation from the Italian by Nicole Zimmerman)
Night Drive – Houston, TX
“Night Drive is the fortunate result of inauspicious circumstances. Co-founders Rodney Connell and Brandon Duhon met after a young woman they were unknowingly both dating was killed in a car crash. The tragic event bonded the two, and became the seed from which the band was born. Perhaps because of the dark events surrounding its inception, Night Drive often focuses on the darker abstract currents of emotion. Inspired by sci-fii cinematic landscapes, they create modern synthpop with infectious melodies wrapped in thoughtful lyrics. Carried along by pulsing dance beats, the result is a stylish and energetic sound that has been featured in film, TV, and radio around the world. Performing alongside modern contemporaries such as CHVRCHES, Robert DeLong, and Austra, as well as classic legacy bands such as The Psychedelic Furs, Night Drive has quickly garnered a reputation as a captivating, must see live show.”
Pong – Austin, TX
Classic Videos / SausTex
“If there’s any band in what was once called Austin’s “alternative” scene that deserves live preservation, it’s Pong. On vinyl. As sonically representative as the locals’ studio albums are, it’s in concert where this quintet’s satire-soaked dance rock comes alive. When the guitar attack of Gary Chester and Jason Craig’s muscle-bound riffage begins bouncing off Shane Shelton’s sugary synth squiggles as nailed to a groove as relentless as Lyman Hardy’s fleet-footed disco, Pong pushes it over the top. … with the band romping through the space rockin’ dance pop of “Suicide Cat,” smirking funk of “Killer Lifestyle,” and the crooked riff-pop of “Secret Meat.” The band throws in the dubtastic synth pop of “Click OK” and the electronica-kissed hard rock of “Superwrong” while it’s at it. Naturally, Pong ends the show and LP by declaring, “Finally – some good music!” That may be tongue-in-cheek, but the description can’t be denied.” – Austin Chronicle
