Expanding Frontiers Research’s Erica Lukes & Jack Brewer Present…

“The Cold War and UFOs”

Wednesday, October 22nd, 2025

“The UFO contactee movement of the 1950s was heavily aligned with political activism, riddled with implications of fraud, and monitored by willing FBI informants. Then, in 1956, State Department and CIA assets incorporated the National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena.

Join Erica Lukes and Jack Brewer of Expanding Frontiers Research as they rely on such sources as FBI records released through the Freedom of Information Act to explore the people of the mid-20th century flying saucer chase. Lukes and Brewer argue that awareness of deception in the UFO genre is important in developing a thorough understanding of the topic, regardless of what genuinely yet to be better understood phenomena may exist. What’s more, events of yesteryear stand to tell us a great deal about circumstances today.

Erica Lukes is an experienced podcaster and longtime popular video show host. As executive director of Expanding Frontiers Research, she conducts engaging interviews with journalists, researchers and experts on a variety of social and technical issues. She also facilitates the Expanding Frontiers Archive, an online group of special collections inspired by a physical archive Erica maintains that includes the life work of select pioneers of UFO research. As a result of the organization’s effective use of public records requests and subsequent reporting, Expanding Frontiers Research was the recipient of an annual state-wide award from the Utah Investigative Journalism Project. Erica studied music and voice at the University of Utah and is a longtime successful Salt Lake City business owner in the health and wellness industry.

Jack Brewer is a researcher, writer, and member of the EFR Board of Directors. His work relies primarily on authenticated documents and verified source material to reconstruct historical chains of events. In addition to producing well-received investigative blogposts and two nonfiction books, he is a successful entrepreneur and business consultant. His activities include substantial participation in grassroots nonprofit movements.

Tui Snider Presents…

“Travel, Tombstones & Transformation”

Wednesday, September 24th, 2025 at 7pm Central

“Join author Tui Snider on a journey through the world’s historic cemeteries … deep in the heart of Texas and stretching to Romania, the jungles of Malaysia, the South Pacific, the ancient tombs of Egypt, and even the Arctic Circle.

This journey is as much inward as outward as Tui evades a kidnapper, encounters endangered butterflies and venomous snakes, visits a mysterious space alien grave in Texas, meets the grieving parents of a serial killer’s victim, and even finds herself mistaken for a ghost.

With her signature blend of humor and heartfelt observation, Tui brings these stories to life, demonstrating how cemeteries can be places of healing, wonder, and connection.

In a journey readers have called “Eat, Pray, Love—but with tombstones!” Tui will spark your curiosity and inspire you to enjoy graveyards as gateways to hidden wonders and meaningful connections.

As Tui puts it, “Cemeteries are for the living. Don’t wait for a funeral to visit one.”

Adam Gorightly Presents…

“The Bob Beck Collection: Space Age Photos From The Past!”

Sunday, May 25th, 2025 at 5pm Central / 3pm Pacific

“What initially inspired myself and collaborator Greg Bishop to co-author A is for Adamski: The Golden Age of the UFO Contactees was the discovery of The Beck Collection, a series of photos taken by a fellow (you guessed it) named Bob Beck.

In 1948, Robert “Bob” Beck (1925-2002), started a photographic-audiovisual firm, Color Control Color Laboratories Company, that designed special lighting techniques for a number of MGM productions like An American in Paris and Show Boat. In the 1960s, Beck was responsible for the groundbreaking special effects featured in Roger Corman’s psychedelic epic The Trip.

Somewhere along the way, Beck befriended George Van Tassel, attending several Giant Rock Interplanetary Spacecraft Conventions where he photographed the UFO contactees in attendance, many of these photos which appear exclusively in A is for Adamski. Van Tassel’s work in “cellular rejuvenation” dovetailed with similar interests shared by Beck related to alternative health cures produced by electromagnetism. To this end, Beck was involved—at least in an advisory capacity—with the construction of Van Tassel’s Integratron.”
