“Who is behind Enigma labs? The Bloomberg article revealed that the founder was a woman named Alex Smith. A search on the Internet was undertaken, for additional information about Alex Smith, which fitted the profile information given in the media articles, Enigma Labs’s blog and website, etc. No information could be found. What if the name Alex Smith was a pseudonym? But then, how to find out the identity of the real individual behind that name? 

Alex Smith’s LinkedIn page states that Alex Smith was the founder of Enigma Labs in November 2020. So, various keyword searches  were performed on a number of Internet platforms. One of these searches was via Twitter’s advanced search tools, to look for anyone on Twitter who would fit the profile described in the media articles etc. working backwards in time from 1 December 2020. It needed to be someone who’d expressed an interest in UFOs (there were many); wasn’t one of the dozens of recognizable UAP Twitter usernames; and fitted the time frame of around November 2020. Out of all these searches, there was one hit. The potential candidate for “Alex Smith” tweeted the following on 15 October 2020 from Twitter account @alice_LG

@alice_LG is an individual named Alice Lloyd George.

Andresen identified Kirsten Bartok Touw as previously listed as a source of pre-seed funding for Enigma Labs, Inc., a recently launched company outwardly dedicated to UAP investigation and transparency, yet seemingly much less forthcoming than their self-description suggests. As documented by Andresen, the role of Bartok Touw has since been removed from websites.

Bartok Touw is a “Special Government Employee” at the Office of Strategic Capital (under the Office of the Secretary of Defense), as well as a managing partner at New Vista Capital and AirFinance, among other roles of potential significance. If designated a “Special Government Employee,” or SGE, one may simultaneously represent the interests of big tech companies, banks, venture capital funds, military contractors, intelligence agencies, defense tech start-ups and, pretty much, anybody with skin in the game.”

The mysterious company vowed to keep its employees a secret to protect their “privacy.” Indeed, CEO Alex Smith takes this so seriously that she apparently uses a false name and is probably in reality venture capitalist Alice Lloyd George, whose name appears in place of Smith’s as CEO on trademark application documents. The company is associated with UFO journalist Alejandro Rojas and has partnered with Discovery+ UFO personality Ben Hansen. This certainly fills me with confidence when they say they want to create a database of UFO witnesses’ personal data.”

DoD AARO Meets With Enigma Labs – 2022

As revealed in NASA FOIA Case 23-00245-F-HQ, and subsequently through the DoD’s FOIA case 23-F-1040, there was a meeting between Sean Kirkpatrick, Enigma Labs, and likely member(s) of NASA’s UAP study group. The contents of this meeting are unknown. The Black Vault reached out to Enigma Labs’ CEO in August of 2023, but no response was ever received.

“NASA FOIA request 23-00245-F-HQ yielded an interesting discovery. Part of which was already known, Enigma Labs gave NASA a presentation on UAP on January 19, 2023. This was first reported by Bryan Bender. However, it appears that the USAF likely participated, as well.

In one email seeking presentations that were still not uploaded to NASA’s location for proper setup, two addresses from the USAF were included, indicating they were involved in giving a presentation. FOIA requests were filed to track down both presentation material from the Headquarters of the USAF (as address) but also the Air Force District of Washington A2, as addressed. Names were redacted, however, the FOIA requests should be able to access the material with the information received on this FOIA.”
