1999 NUFOC-36 Presentation title: An Intimate Conversation with Major Jesse A. Marcel, Sr
A sophomore in college at the time, little did Linda Corley realize that she would conduct the last in-depth interview of Roswell witness Marcel before his death. What she learned in this never before published interview may surprise you.

On May 5, 1981, I met with Jesse Marcel, Sr. and his wife Viaud at their home in Houma, Louisiana. For 4 hours we talked about his family, his military experiences, and his life in general.
It was during that visit that Jesse drew a picture of what he saw in the debris that he picked up at the crash site in Roswell, New Mexico in 1947. His crude ink drawing depicted a narrow beam, open at one end, and off to the side he drew symbols that ran along side of the beam. He described the beam as something that looked like wood and the symbols as being pink and purple. Mrs. Marcel told me that she was the first one to describe these symbols as some sort of Egyptian writing but without pictures of animals as usually seen in Egyptian writing. This really peaked my attention as I had a great interest in ancient codes and scripts. I later had an artist paint a design based on Jesse’s description.
Twenty six years later, in 2007, I published this book. [For The Sake of My Country]
