Whitley Strieber at the Texas Book Festival in November 2000 (Enhanced Audio)
Back in November of the year 2000, I had the pleasure of attending a rare talk by Whitley Strieber with his War Day coauthor, James Kunetka that was held within the Texas State Capitol building, across the street from the Governor’s Mansion. During this talk, Whitley was mainly speaking about his book about climate change, The Coming Global Superstorm, that he co-wrote with by Art Bell. He of course also spoke about his Alien Abduction experiences and advanced the idea of using fMRI technology as a sort of lie-detector to verify the perceived reality of these experiences. His talk was occurring during the contentious period following the 2000 Presidential election and at several points during his talk we could hear the protesters chanting across the street at the Governor’s Mansion; I think this is only audible once in the original raw audio / video versions (see links below).
The video was recorded, edited and aired by local Austin abductee, Mary Aleshire, who may be heard in the audio trying to ask Whitley a question.
